Cyclops confirmed, but appears no one cares as i do not see a topic.

I think its design looks really good, especially the head.
Also the Cyclops Special camo looks great.

Also this is a first for a mech...

"All Cyclops variants come equipped with a Tacticon B-2000 Battle Computer in place of the standard Sensor suite.
This Battle Computer boosts the Sensor Range of not just the Cyclops, but any allied 'Mechs within range.
For full details regarding the Battle Computer, consult the General Question section of the Cyclops FAQ."

It's wearing a Robe of Eyes worth 120,000 gp!

Illuminati sympathizers. I knew it.

Eye camo looks fairly **** like to be honest.

It's a lower Ton Atlas unless it has Sensor Quirks, something we haven't seen yet.

I suspect that may be the worst quirked variant. Posted Image

Jokes aside, hey Derek. I like the Cyclops design too. The special sensor suite (alliteration combo!) is sweet but I wonder if any mechs will get a retroactive sensor buff? Could the D-DC lose its ECM? And what will PGI do for the Command Console?

Lots of things going on with the fact that the cyclops gets something new that other mechs right now don't have.

I'm going to assume that with the release of the Cyclops also comes the CC, and requiring of some mechs, like you mentioned, the D-DC. (new quirks probably, like ECM buff, not major, but enough to keep it on par)

It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be but I'm not very interested.

I'm not good with Guass :(

If CP-S Sleipnir can head mount a LPL, it'll be my favourite mech.

Commando should be next in line for a Sensor Buff. It's what they do. Other mechs or just variants that had better than average sensors OR that was their specific job on the battlefield.

Mongoose would be another one to get it, if we ever get that beauty.

They may wisely be saving it for lean times.

Battle computer looks neat>>>>

Quote

Q: What is the "Tacticon B-2000 Battle Computer" mentioned on the Cyclops page?
The Tacticon B-2000 Battle Computer is a modified version of the standard Sensor suite found in the Head component of most 'Mechs. As with the Life Support system and the Cockpit, the standard Sensor suite is a piece of Fixed Equipment; it takes up 0 usable slots and weighs 0 tonnes.
The Sensor suite is what allows your 'Mech to use its standard targeting abilities.

The B-2000 Battle Computer is a special version of this standard Sensor suite, and is currently exclusive to the Cyclops chassis. It replaces the standard Sensor suite, takes up 0 usable slots, and weighs 0 tonnes.

The B-2000 Battle Computer provides the following benefits, on top of the standard abilities of the basic Sensor suite:

Boosts the standard Sensor Range of the Cyclops 'Mech.
Boosts the standard Sensor Range of any ally 'Mechs within radius of the Cyclops.

Boosting sensor range is really insignificant... no one even realizes there's an increased sensor range module, which also takes up zero weight.

Dual AC/20 then? I dunno about LPL in head, but it'd be cool if they changed it's head values to allow it Posted Image

Only 1 crit space open in the head, same as every other 'Mech in the game.

On the other hand, that means head flamer.

It boosts Everyone's sensor range, not just itself. Have you also noticed that only one of them sports the CC?

The next question is how large is the benefit? I'm thinking between 10 and 25%. Only sensor range though? Not target info gathering time?

"This Battle Computer boosts the Sensor Range of not just the Cyclops, but any allied 'Mechs within range."

The range could be really restrictive.. as in backdoor humping can't move back range.
