It's based on General Ariana Winston of the Eridani Light Horse.

It's too bad the ELH has nothing to do with Norse mythos. but still looks cool.

Boosting sensor range is really insignificant... no one even realizes there's an increased sensor range module, which also takes up zero weight.

It may take Zero weight but it takes a Module slot. You lose out on things like Radar Derp and Seismic Sensor. With the Cyclops you can get those AND a sensor boost. Also the Module doesnt buff your allies sensors when you use it where the Cyclops does.

"This Battle Computer boosts the Sensor Range of not just the Cyclops, but any allied 'Mechs within range."

The range could be really restrictive.. as in backdoor humping can't move back range.

I figured it would be short range for the boost but Ide say withing 250-300 meters you get the boost.

This cracked my wallet immediately. The Cyclops is my personal favorite mech in all of Battletech and the B-2000 computer thing looks extra intriguing. Plus, a dual-gauss variant as a standard build? I am SOLD, baby!! In the lore this mech suffered from thin armor for an assault, so we'll have to do something about that.

In 2749, the Commander of the 3rd RCT was assassinated by the Prince of Rasalhague. The unit immediately mobilized and occupied the major cities on all the worlds in their district. When the Prince sent troops to the city of Eridani on Trondheim, the 3rd RCT repelled them easily. The unit received the nickname when a journalist, sympathetic to the 3rd RCT, reported that the RCT forces had scattered the Prince's forces "like spirited Eridani stallions chasing after fat, clumsy Luthien cows".After the humiliation, the Prince had no choice but to try and execute the assassins.

Well, I was wrong about them using the CP-11-B, but I was right about the dual gauss. They just invented a new hero mech and gave it the dual gauss that is seen on the CP-11-B. The hardpoint location is a bit low, but maybe equipping 2 MGs will bump the gauss rifles higher.

I was also right about 400 engine cap and lots of missile hardpoints. The CP-10-Q has 6 missile hardpoints in the side torsos. Good bye Atlas S-variant. Hello 6xSRM4 Cyclops!

We dont know all the Hardpoints. Really all those pictures are the base Clops just with the different patterns. So we have NO clue where the other Ballistic fits in the ST. Im personally hoping for semi high mounts. A 90 Ton version of the Jaeger where you DONT have to sacrifice armor? Yes please.

Looks awesome! Everything I hoped, almost. But I have to say:

"TAKE COMMAND"

This is kind of ironic and funny while Command Console remains a targeting computer and we have no command wheel. I know that may change in time, but still Posted Image

I doubt the cockpit hitbox will be the entire eye.

I wonder if there is a 90 ton Clan mech that could release with ECM to balance against this one..

If they won't even give the classic IW/command mech (Cyclops) ECM access, they won't give the Kingpin any ECM either.

My first thought when I saw this was "Fear my Laser Face" from Red vs Blue.

My second thought, upon reading that neat quirk with the Battlecomputer, is that this would be a good replacement for the BLR-1S as a Fire Support Command Mech.

The next question is how large is the benefit? I'm thinking between 10 and 25%. Only sensor range though? Not target info gathering time?

Too bad you can't switch between either bonus, as the situation needs. That would make it cool.

Was hoping for more ECM.

Will buy. Proly all of it, minus the collector. If the special collector pack was just a token to apply the camo and bonus to any variant I chose(not hero obviously) I would buy that too. This mech was on my short list.

Special note: I really hope the warhorn is just a flat ominous as **** tone. Think yard sale, but more gutteral, with an actual attractive mount/visual.

Also, it's not too late to make the eyes glow/ on off toggle switch. Just tie the function to the same key we use for claw "I pinch you" etc.

Does this mean proper fixing for all mechs that have enhanced sensors in fluff/TT? Will said mechs bonuses stack with Cyclops bonus?

Straight replacement for Cyclops sensor suite. It had better cost big bucks and be consumable if its the only mech going to get this treatment.

Otherwise every mech in game should have different tech available for sensors.
