Does this mean proper fixing for all mechs that have enhanced sensors in fluff/TT? Will said mechs bonuses stack with Cyclops bonus?

Straight replacement for Cyclops sensor suite. It had better cost big bucks and be consumable if its the only mech going to get this treatment.

Otherwise every mech in game should have different tech available for sensors.

Normal and advanced.

I would rather see mechs with advanced sensors based on their role. It would make obsolete, overlooked mechs relevant.

Looks pretty sweet. Granted: NOT a metamech, but looking over the hardpoints, I could see some really interesting builds coming out of this mech. I'd love to have my "command lance" drop deck of a Cyclops and an Archer (plus filler to whatever dropdeck tonnage is at the time - Marauder, Commando?).

Meanwhile I'm sitting in the corner here feeling really salty about how much more obsolete this mech makes the Highlander. Posted Image

The hardpoint inflation is real
And the Cyclops looks like it'll be pretty fast with that 400 engine.

Ehhh *shrug*

I'm sure it will be ok. Nothing I care for though.

My guess; terrible hitboxes, normalized by OP quirks and given use by "bu-bu-but its got da se-se-sensor range buffz!"

Will get some of them, probably the basic pack + hero. Because they look so commanding. Also, i like the top engine rating, making them fast movers with a speed around 80kph, and the hero is able to use dual gauss or dual ac20 or quad ac5.

Also, it's not too late to make the eyes glow/ on off toggle switch. Just tie the function to the same key we use for claw "I pinch you" etc.

Would get more of them if this.

A fast (likely xl-friendly) 90 tonner, with loads of hardpoints, (some) ecm and capability to boat ballistics and missiles well.

RIP Highlander.

Not sure if I'll get it yet, but it looks like it'll be a fun mech. Shame the only ECM variant is locked behind an extra paywall. At the very least I think the art is pretty nice. It actually looks very much like a stubbier Archer body with the head moved to its own module on top.

If they won't even give the classic IW/command mech (Cyclops) ECM access, they won't give the Kingpin any ECM either.

What do you mean, they created a variant to give the Cyclops ECM. Stars are aligning for ECM Kingpin..

Wow... no torso E hardpoints :( I guess I will try to boat ACs.

Also why is the Hero variant a Viking mech and not a communist Liao themed?

Eridani Light Horse Regiment?

Kind of a famous user of that Mech, the commander of the ELH used one during task force Serpent...

The original art for both the Archer and the Cyclops (3025 TRO) had their legs, arms, and torsos looking fairly similar, with the obvious difference of the heads. The Cyclops really seemed like a scaled-up Archer to me.

Hmmmm... This might be the start of non weapon quirks?
Or will it just structure and stuff? Let's go take a look.

Sensor bonus is useless fluff. Too bad we didn't get any meaningful IW.

Q: Can I remove the unique Pattern from Special [S] Variants to apply other Patterns?
Yes!

Oh god so glad that paint job doesn't appeal.

Looks fantastic.........

and beside that, EPIC FAIL.

No meaningful info on just how much extra sensor range the Tacticon will provide, nor if it even will matter considering the prevalence of ECM. Unless the Tacticon has some ECM busting capability, I expect it to be countered most of the time anyhow.

On top of that....it's hitboxes are not going to be good. It's hardpoints are low. This means in actual combat, without Atlas quirks...... it's going to be at a serious disadvantage. Mind you, in lore, it's best role was indirect and at Long Range anyhow (despite poor long range firepower, it's armor was simply too light for stand up combat with other Assault Mechs.

I do not buy IS Mechs but I am impressed how they took a hideous Mech and made it look good. I hope the computer makes it relevant.

I hope the warhorn is something really evil like the sounds the gun drones make from oblivion (the Tom Cruise movie )
Or perhaps some like the sounds the reapers make from mass effect

But it's going to be a great Mech regardless
Alex has worked his magic like normal
