The wiki lists:

Quote

Light
Raven, Firestarter, Flea, Locust (Unseen), Stinger (Unseen), Wasp (Unseen)
Medium
Assassin, Blackjack (St.Ives), Vindicator, Griffin, Phoenix Hawk (Unseen) (St.Ives)
Heavy
Catapult, Cataphract, Ostroc, Archer (Unseen)
Assault
Victor (St.Ives)

as being more accessible than to other houses.

The TCAF recruitment thread names

Quote

Raven, Firestarter, Locust, Blackjack, Vindicator, Griffin, Catapult, Cataphract, Victor.
"Capellan mechs".

But this is not all, right?
I mean, of course the Vindicator is the Confederation's signature Mech, but if you open the Liao Handbook (is it canon?), there are listed industries that produce several Mechs not listed above. In addition there are just Mechs every house has equal chances to buy or find/restore.

So, is there such a complete list somewhere or could we make one?

Shadow Hawks were commonly used among all houses.

This might help:
(see the link bellow for the full mech/variant breakup)

Assignment tables:

MWO IS mechs (year 3039):

Notes:
  • The second Draconis Combine column is for Kurita A rated units (they have much more old Star League stuff).
  • The Mauler in the table is the earlier Dabuku (the Mauler itself is produced only in 3048, but would quickly replace the Dabuku and become a mainstay in DCM).
  • The Wolfhound variants, by 3039, are basically prototypes. The standard Wolfhound is produced in 3052.
  • The Black Knight is very rare by 3039, but resumes production in 3052.
Extra IS mechs (strong candidates that can be added any moment):

And the Clans, 3050 (invading force):

Info compiled from here. (thanks to Sennin for the original link).

So, the Capellans like to field:
- for light mechs: Wasp, Stinger, Locust, UrbanMech, Raven;
- for mediums: Vindicator (1 in 4 Liao medium mechs are Vindies), Phoenix Hawk, Blackjack;
- for heavies: Rifleman, Crusader, Catapult, Cataphract;
- for assaults: Victor, Longbow.

Those in bold are the most Liao-signature mechs (you won't see much of them in other houses).

Wow, this seems like exactly what I was looking for!
Didn't even assume such a detailed map exists.
Thx!

Edit:
The Highlander seems to be more common, than in other houses, too.

Glad you mentioned the Ostroc, would love to see it in game!

The Vindicator, though a work horse in CapCon is gawd awful in the game. There are some decent builds, but ton for ton, it just gets out performed. Would love to see it get some better quirks or a slight buff. It is a favorite.

The Victor too, a mainstay is junk in the game. Wish it weren't, but we Capellans have some trash. Just need some slight improvements to make them pilot-able again, and things would be ok.

Had hoped we'd see more 40-45 ton mechs by now, hopefully down the line, as post 4th Succession most of the IS should be running medium weights.

Good mentions in those lists, would like to see Ostroc, Whitworth (Worthless), Assassin, Hermes II, Clint and Vulcan come to light.

Looking at this picture made me realise what I found wrong with the mechs in MWO..
MWO mechs need more badass poses man when they are lumbering around..

Make it House specific... Liao gets the gangsta poses.. Posted Image

The Vindicator would probably reach Tier 1 Meta if we could rap with it.

No, no.
I mean we need to be able to rap at our enemies.
Using a PA system built into the Vindicator.
