Long Range direct fire is unlike Brawling Weapons also very effective at Brawling Range while Brawling at Long Range is impossible - its a huge disbalance that sits there unresolved since the game launched into Beta.

Also the new maps promote Long Range Combat bcs it is extremely hard to close gap and be not demolished.

And combat is not fighting - fighting is pretty much nil in this game and if you are here to fight other Mechs in 90% of the Matches it does not happen - some late match cleaning up is not fighting.

Bull crap.

SRMs / AC20s / SPLs completely destroy long range setups in close, because of damage per heat and durations. Brawling weapons are much better in a brawl than long range weapons - what do you want, mechs with long range weapons to be 100% defenseless when some brawler gets close? (which is actually easy on 90% of maps with a tiny bit of patience and map awareness)
