Introduce yourself here, if your heart belongs to the Lyran Commonwealth

In my case: I'm 35, grew up with CBT and played the whole MW series. from 2002 until 2009 I was waiting for it to continue - but nothing happend. Since then I'm active in MW:LL - good game, good people there.

I've been Steiner aligned since I started to play BT, which was about 18 years ago. :)

At first as a child I just liked its symbol, later when I started reading the novels and the TROs I started to like them for their refined "tactics". Even later I found out that the LC is supposed to be some kind of space germany, and I find this coincidence rather funny.
Now I'm still here, wearing the armored gauntlet symbol on my mech with pride.

Loyal to Archon Katrina Steiner Davion, the only true heir of the Steiner throne.

Ever since I bought that first boxed Battletech starter set back in '95, I was fond of House Steiner. Of all the bickering Houses, Archon Katrina was the one trying to make peace, granted, the nature of the peace accord with Hanse Davion wasn't stated. (the little 50 page rule book/source book was light on details, even referred to the clan as "aliens")

Later as I got to actually play the game and learn more about Steiner military tactics and background (and, more importantly, the fondness for heavier units..) I kept with them, as I tend to prefer both Heavily armored and heavily gunned mechs.

If all goes well, I -should- be signing on Stener when the game goes live.

I'm 27, and have started playing BT initially with MW2. Due to a lack of people to play with, I've very rarely had the chance to play tabletop BT, which is something i regret.

I'm strictly anti Katherine, my loyalty is with the true line of succession. Down with the Ursupator!

First MechWarrior game I got to grips with was MW2, and I didn't get much chance to play any more Battletech games until the first and second MechAssault games, and from which I moved on to MechWarrior 4.
And that is where I picked up my loyalty. I've always had a thing for the Germanic side in games, and Steiner pays well.

I'm 23, came into contact with BT when i was about 12 or 13. But i never found anyone to play with. Luckily MW4 was released back then, after some months/years of Mechlabing and online Steiner scouting there was a long pause. So now the announcement of MWO got me back to buisiness.

25, I've played CBT since MW2 stole my spare time. I run CBT tabletops (crossover with MW3rd Edition and 2nd Edition) and I paint Ironwind Mech minis to pay the bills, I've played the tabletop since before 3067 became the new "big problem".

I GM regular RPG tabletop sessions and when not knee deep in 40k or paint I run a tournament local to Nottingham and Leeds in the UK.

My first BT experience was the pods at Spaceplexx on Long Island in '98 at my nephew's birthday party.
Then found MPBT:Solaris on aol in '99, where I played a bit until I found Gamestorm, and played until it was turned off there.

Originally recruited into House Marik, which turned out to be not the best fit, I went Merc with a group called Mech Gods, who were part of Mercenary Combine, run by Mad Khan. Contracted exclusively with House Steiner, I got to know a lot of great people, and in preparation for 3025, I was honored to be a part of the creation of a new House Steiner unit, the 6th Regimental Combat Team : Apache division. 3025 never went beyond a leaked link to the beta, then the plug was pulled.

Through the years I've played in leagues such as VL, BZ4, W!OL, Empire (was my favorite), MWL, NBT, and more recently, ISW. I'm ready for something new, and so is House Steiner from the looks of the email group.

I am loyal to Steiner, because i am Austrian in real life, so i am basically german like the Lyran Commonwealth.
I haven't played the tabletop, neither the videogames online, but i played the campaigns from mw3 and 4 and i enjoy reading the books.

I'm looking forward to fighting for the commonwealth at the side of veterans,

~Salute~ Fellow Lyrans,

Started the game in MPBT:Solaris on AOL in 1996 or so and was soon recruited into House Steiner by General Boris and never looked back. I've been a loyal member through a number of versions of the game similar to Wild Hog: MPBT:3025, War!Online, Empire, and for a few months in the beginning of ISW. I'm eager to see what this new incarnation has to offer the community and hopeful it can restore our comradery. It is good to see many old friends again.

Hails,
I've been involved in btech since '98, mostly via the novels and source material. I have always had a thing for the Lyran Commonwealth as I am of German descent + big smashy mechs are great.

So up the fist! For House Steiner!

And House Jägermeister! (Lol)

My first intro to BTech was in MPBT: 3025. I joined the 19th Arcturan Guards. After MPBT I dabbled a bit with MW4 and ISW, but have been inactive since.

I am hoping MWO online will recapture the team aspects of MPBT, as well as, the ease of finding opponents to fight against. That and the ability to conquer planets.

Hey all, I'm Blackfang, I've been playing Mechwarrior since the mech2 days it got me into the tabletop game as well. Currently reside in the UK but have a Canadian dual nationality. I'm really pleased to see a new mechwarrior game coming out and I'm not panicing about this F2P model. I used to play in the NBT and ISW leagues.

Wild Hog, Journeyman, It's good to see you on the forums and I'll fight for you on the field.

All the best,
Blackfang
