I'm glad that the event was was thoroughly fleshed out and designed to increase participation in CW from both solo and group players! PUGs will have so much fun on their way to reward criteria amounts, such as 15 invasion wins or 10m CB, that they're likely to play over a 75 matches! I can't wait to get started! Meanwhile, group players will be breeze through all the requirements and likely finish in under 20 matches and still have time to spare for a sunset stroll at Seal Beach every afternoon. I hope they continue to play CW even after getting their free mech!
See y'all on the battlefield!

I wanted to get the rewards and see if cw is more fun than it was the last time I tried.
Joined clan Jade Falcon.
Got destroyed 7 times straight in brutal slaugthers. 80 % of my team runs single file into a well defended position to die instantly. We are down 10 mechs right from the start.
In the end and in each game I have 2 or 3 mechs left and my team has to wait for me to spawn and insta die so the game can end.
Its no fun to play with absolute noobs and get annihilated in long grueling defeats.
Cw is not for me haha.
No more.
I just play normal games.

Nothing was added to CW beside incentive to play it in the form of mc rewards and a split queue that is said be removed or already is removed. No actual content was added.

Looks like you missed the part where to complete both the scouting and invasion portions of the challenge you need to play 90 matches total so there's literally no way to complete it in 20 matches.

PGI is not failing you. You are failing your clan.
Proof incoming shortly on FW forums.

Your experience reminds me of most pre phase 3 CW games. But now with phase 3, we have separated the PUGs and groups so that all the games will be more fair. There should be no more stomp and farm matches that you speak of. Meanwhile, the event rewards are fantastic, easy to accomplish, and compels us to play CW so the population will increase. I don't see any reason to quick play.

Ahem! Didn't they just merge the solo queue back into group queue?

I'd say it's off the scale...

You might want to read it all over again because you missed the point.

Straight from yesterday's hot fix notes:
• Solo and Unit Queues have been merged. More information regarding this change can be found in a dedicated section of this post.

Well, that was fast. I guess when things hit their bottom line they get addressed with amazing speed.

What did you expect? The groups are the anointed golden children of the Church of Russ.
Oh...and SharpCookie...you might not have read this, but they are putting the solos back into the group queue in FW.

Well, this might sound arrogant but it is not intended to. I am a pretty good player. The players I have seen in this faction clan jade falcon were either all complete new players. have never played a pc/video game or are just not very smart. All of them run with one mech into the enemy base. Alone.
Who would do that?
Thats so dumb that they are either 5 year old children or simply not very smart.
You cannot compensate for 8 players suiciding.
They were basically all suiciding. ALl the time.
The entire game.
I sat back, scratched my head, wanted to yell something really vulgar.....and then just disconnected after the 7th game.
No fun.
Not because of the maps, or the game modes or the game itself.
The players are - forgive me all - simply not smart enough. They do the weirdest and dumbest thing which obviously have no chance to even get one kill or take much armor from an enemy mech. They just blindly run ahead.
I dont know what kind of players they are. But the lack of brain power kills cw. I literally had no fun except in one single game out of 7 where it was actual ppl with brains fighting each other. It was a real fight, back and forth, ppl trying to gather for pushes but not running single file.
Id say that in cw one 7th of ppl have some brains.
The rest is so bad that its just no fun.
But maybe other ppl dont care about that or can still enjoy complete stomps.
I dont.
I need a realistic chance and close (er) games where I have the impression that my skills could actually tip the balance or contribute to that effect.
I got 1800 dmg, was in my first mech, had 4 kills in most games......but we were down 1000000 mechs and not even god himself could have changed that. And then you gotta stick with that defeat for 30 mins. One grueling stomp.
Tell me.
Anybody.
Where is the fun in that?
Ill tell you: There aint no fun in that.
If you enjoy that im really impressed. Tell me what is enjoyable about that cause I dont understand haha!
I only play quickgames again. Those are fun and a defeat only lasts much shorter.

Yes, faction warfare was created for groups/units. You might have your reasons for not being in one and thats ok but THIS game mode was for the Units... or for PUGs who coordinate. Until you can get 11 strangers to follow 1 stranger even if it means sacrificing themselves for the greater good (Tau!) you should steer clear of FW or join a group.

You dont have to complete all the challenges. Its not competing when there are no 'best player gets X'. There are a bunch of static rewards for playing. If you play a lot you get more rewards. Noone is punished. Those who play more, get more, those who play less - get less.
If you cant get a 100 score in FW you shouldnt be playing FW... 100 score means 200 damage... in -4- mechs... thats 50 damage per mech...
Less in fact given you are bound to get some 'protected XYZ' , scouting, turret kills or whatever.
