Please explain how it is even possible for skittle/PUG teams to beat 12-mans from the same unit, sometimes even 3 times in a single night? Answer that and you get a solution to your problems.

FYI, I only drop solo and always have. My motivation is to give units a bloody nose ... or die trying. Posted Image

What should happen if no other 8-mans are around? Should smaller groups and solos wait until a bigger group arrives? Frankly, I'd rather drop.

Congrats to you man, you drop with a nice bunch of people. It happens for me sometimes but much less often than dropping with people who do not want or do not know how to team play.

I never said that its impossible to beat a 12-man. When it happens to me it is usually the best game i had in a while (not regarding my performance but the quality of the match). These kind of games are why I am still in MWO, but I would like more chances to have such a game, without being in another 12-man myself.

Also, I do not mind a challenge at all, but I am not good enough to expect that just me or another member of the drop can carry the whole game.

If there are no 8-mans around then you take smaller teams as anchors; whatever is available. I only said the cap should be at 8 for a group size or the number of players in a drop with the same tag. Nobody can guarantee that there will not be exploits but there are further ways to reduce that chance.

FW will get nuked due to Long Toms and mostly due to the already bad design of FW (didn't really fix what ails is, like maps).

Fixing FW has to be a lot more comprehensive, and I don't believe PGI is committed to actually addressing it in full.

While this is not necessarily my preference, something like this probably needs to be done in some form. There are simply some IS factions that don't really get a chance to see IS vs Clan in full detail and it kinda makes them soft for the most part (unless the Clans dominate - which did happen in Phase 2 for various reasons - most of which is related to mass indifference).

PGI has really no vision for this mode, except resetting it to the same defaults, and expecting a different result.

Loyalist contracts is the fix.

As a loyalist we should also vote for "allies". If a faction is an ally loyalists can take a contract there just lime merc units. Loyalist pay, they gain LP from their original faction and keep their original faction tags. However they are considered deployed in that other faction and use that factions fronts.

So as a Kuritan if Kurita makes an alliance with Steiner then Kurita loyalists can take a 1 week Steiner contract, keep tags, all LP is Kurita LP but you'll be on the Steiner front. Play against CJF, just like Davion supported Kurita when the Clans invaded their capital.

That would list populations move to active fronts without destroying faction identity.

I'm not sure if alliances will work the way you describe them (I'm not sure some loyalists like this).

However, Dear Coordinator remembers Kentares and is willing to return any and all "gifts" provided by Clan Davion.

:P
