I have just looked at a blackjack (in smurphy's mech lab) and the amount of free weight (even after putting on full armour) is astounding. this coupled with an insane amount of free slots make it easy to support an arsenal (WITH insane amounts of heat sinks) which is more suited to a heavy clan mech.
So yeah the game mode is generally broken.
I think it is high time for a resetting in the buffs and nerfs of both clan mechs and is mechs. right now it is reverse lore. the is mechs are vastly superior to clan mechs. why? because of insane free weight and slots (not including the spurious extra structure buffs etc etc etc).
i think a stormcrow should be the equal of a hunchback or blackjack but right now you cant even strip their armour from a bodypart. while they dont even overheat in killing a stormcrow.

I did everything I could and checked lore on why my Nova can't have endo-steel internal structure to be able to at least lumber through a scout mission with a decent amount on an alpha strike (mount one AC20) to take down those heavy hitters. I know the engines are "fixed" for us but wow a full team of max engined IS at 50-55 tons is tough even for a full team of evenly weighted Clanners.
Otherwise only issue I saw with the game mode is clusters of Information points in preset areas, easy for people to find and claim.

It's chewing through almost anything that comes at me and my team. I honestly think it needs nerfed, if anything does.

I've been leading scout teams for days, and we're chewing through AC20 Centurions, splat-Griffins, and other Inner Sphere mechs. With a coordinated team, there's no mech that can stand against you.

The IS mechs are all much faster, I can hardly out run them with my lights. They have much better armaments. They have so much more internal structure from quirks it takes longer to bring them down even when they are crippled.
Literally the only thing clans have going for them right now is the Streak Stormcrow, and the IS pilots even want that nerfed.
This game is so backwards to the way it should be, the clan mechs should be vastly superior to inner sphere mechs.

55 ton Stormcrows roll at 104kph with speed tweak + clan XL + 1/2 weight missiles + 2 crit DHS and 5-7 weapon hardpoints. ( not to mention wonky hitboxes ) What IS mech is comparable to that?

On clanside, well speed maters in the mode. and this heavily reduces th true choices. What is there a ADR can do, the SCR can't do?
NVA is noive since it can brawl quite good vs meds and lights, but it's gambling becaue its WAY too slow.
The entire Omnimech fixed engine thing really screws over the most light and medium clanners and their usaility in Scouting leaving only a low amount of choices for the clanners.
Also I have huge troubles with the Circadas, they seem to magically soak up a load of damge once their CT goes red. Maybe I need to record it and hae a look if some hitreg magic is going on.
P.S. Streakcrows suck, forced spreaddamage vs IS mediums is a suicide. lern to use srm's correctly they are way more efficient.

build a better Stormcrow instead of using crap builds. I have no problems killing BJs and HBKs.
It's the 4x SRM, 2x Flamer GRF-2Ns that you need to watch out for
