http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Rampage
85 tonner with masc(86kph) and a slew of hardpoints. Original stock art looks pretty cool. Slightly weak on the variant side but does have a hero-ish.
Just perusing Sarna assaults, and this one seems somewhat viable. Thots, opinions? Sweet or hell nah?

Looks great, actually. Would have a decent mix of hardpoints with a couple of obvious choices for inflation as needed. Would be like a brawlier Battlemaster, imo.

Suitable for your name, no?

It does look good, however, that lower right arm hardpoint worries me, though I could work with the Missiles.

Probably consider it a jack of all trades mech, just like the Grim Reaper, which is actually made recently in our timeline.

However, there's only 4 Variants, one hero 3 regular variants. PGI would have to come up with some other made up variants to compensate if they ever wanted to make a mechpack...

or they could be nice and make it free like the Vindicator, where it's first released for MC and then C-Bills.

That it is!

Well, it'd be just like the Marauder or Rifleman pack, instead of the Phoenix Hawk pack. I don't see the problem there.

Ya it looks to me to be just that, a Jack of trades, but the masc has proven quite useful for the exe. Granted it runs an xl out of the box but I'm sure some of number crunchers on here could point out its relative viability. I'm at work doing busy work stuff. Ie what could possibly be a good std build etc.

Pod space range. Oh and it comes with 16 tons of armor. That's pretty solid.

Hmm, true. We'll have to see then, won't we? It's got MASC too, which I didn't see when I skimmed it, nice touch to a 85 ton IS mech with good hardpoints.

STD 300 with MASC would be pretty great for brawling. 3XMPL, 4XASRM6 should be pretty doable on an agile, tanky mech.

Edit: Slots cap you at 6 or 5 tons of ammo and 14 or 15 DHS with Endo and MASC so it'll run a little hot, but you can more or less launch SRMS at will with the MPLs for opportunism. Leftover tonnage bumps the engine to a STD315 with this approach. This thing would be SCARY to face at close range.

It's not bad at all, and again, the MASC is good too.

Got pretty wide ST though, like a HGN IIC.

I've only ever been moderatly usefull once in an assault mech and otherwise i'm hopeless in them. But this mech would tempt me to try again.
I'd stuff an even larger engine in it somehow. Jack of all trades weapon selection suits me perfectly. Love to mix weapon systems.

I think maybe a 360 or 380. Could be wrong as I'm guessing. It has a 340 stock.

Masc overhead is directly linked to engine size, no? So say if bumped to a 360 that would push top end around 72 is? With masc at 94? IDK obviously. What other mechs have a comparable 16 ts of armor?

I think any-and-all SLDF loyalists and Clanners would instantly concentrate fire on any Rampage they see.

It's a bunch of Amaris RimWorld ****.

And that's bad? This actually looks it could hold up.

I think Lore-wise they wouldn't be around anymore as the Rim Worlds Republic ceased to be after the Amaris Civil war? The Lyrans got some of their worlds but some of them are literally lost to time or periphery states.

Yeah, I'm down with the cause. This could be a great addition to the IS 85-ton bracket. Built-in hero mech, too.
