I'm not sure about the ELH, but have you read "Star Lord" at all? Pretty sure that chronicles part of the Fall of the Star League... Been at least ten years since I read that one though, so don't quote me on that.
if I recall correctly it does touch on it as a prologue, but the story itself was "modern day".
What I would love to see, as noted, is the way Dragonlance went and covered their historical Heroes and Villains with novels.
-The Kerensky Trilogy (Aleksandr Kerensky, that is) with Bk 1 Being his Youth and rise in the SLDF. Bk 2 being the Amaris Usurpation and Liberation of Terra (maybe even 2 books in that alone, but one told from the point of View of Amaris as he plots to avenge the Rims World Republic against the Camerons) and the 3rd Bk, the Exodus trhu Kerensky's death.
- Rise of Comstar, Jerome Blakes story
- Toyama and the corruption of Comstar
- The Minnesota Tribe
- an Heir to the Dragon type book chronicling the Last Days of the Star League and leading to the First Shot of the First Succession War
- Kentares
- The ELH Trilogy as earlier outlined
- The Birth of the Clans Trilogy, told in Stackpole/Coleman not Thrustons dry put me to sleep style.
etc. Just so much that could be told there, and I'm sure there are 3x more stories I haven't even touched. If you read the House Books, they all have Heroes and Villains who could fill a novel themselves, and give more fluff to the Btech Universe.
