LET US SPECULATE ABOUT A MECH NOT RELEASED YET AND BE CONDESCENDING TO EACH OTHER ABOUT IT!

Lets do something... we'll think about it later.

Sorry to disappoint you guys...

But all this hype is just about a single kodiak-3 with a specific build.

All other kodiaks will be DOA.

I have the Kodiaks (and being a GB i'm excited).... but don't get too excited... you'll get 1 good variant + 3-4 useless variants.

I beg to differ, all this Hype is also about the JJ Variant as well as the MASC Hero Variant, going EXE speeds in a 100 tonner if going to be loads of fun. the KDK-1 too, will be alright, 9 Energy, 1B, 2M and 1 AMS will be alright; I can see people Running 5 Medium 2 LPL with a GR or a UAC/20 with SRMs for backup weapons.

Unless the entire torso is CT, I highly doubt the Kodiak variants not the 3 will be garbage. The Bear Spirit is probably the most questionable. On paper, an Atlas-S with MASC is pretty bad ***. In reality, an Atlas-S with no structure quirks is eeeeeeehhhhh. The Dakka spam Kodiak is about as close to "certainty" as we can get without the mech actually being released, and the base variant and 2 aren't bad on paper (not Tier 1, but they're certainly not Highlander IICs). The 10 energy one actually makes me the most uncertain, because of the shield arms.

It's going to be junk just like the Executioner, Jenner IIC, Hunchback IIC, and numerous others turned out to be complete junk.

Well the Executioner is junk XD

Yes. I'll slap on 15 tons to my Gargoyle to do the same job but worse XD

In your opinion, you as a pilot may not do well in them. Does not mean the mechs are bad. The origins ones are pure, no stinking quirks. No wonder people think the origin mechs perform bad when the pilots are used to quirk crutches all the time. I have heard it s like a diet.

I am excited for this Mech, and not just because of Quad UAC/10...

Quad Gauss standard engine FTW! Definition of Siege Engine... Moves at the speed of an actual Trebuchet.

The question is - will we be able to apply the right camo and make a Gold Kodiak?

IDK I think the Kodiak-1 and Kodiak-5 will also have a place on the field. Both look like they'd be able to pack quite the punch with their arm mounted laser batteries. I don't think they should be out for the count, just yet.

The Kodiak-2 also has JJs. Being able to better navigate terrain is a huge boon to any 100 ton mech.

To be brutally honest... I got the Kodiak to be a sandbox.

I am a Mechlab *****. I will literally toss myself into the arms of paying suitors just to tinker with hardpoints.

Definitely a bargain for $20, to get 3 variants of a 100 tonner. And they all come with an XL400!

I consider the Hero well worth the 15$ too.

Coincidentally with the same general hardpoint layout as a Loyalty Atlas...

with a 400 engine cap, clan xl, and MASC (which is actually useful on an assault).... and nothing locked in. UAC-10/20 and a buttload of aSRM6, and a pair of LPL in the arms. Sounds evil enough to me.

MK3 sounds fun too, UAC20 in one torso, dual uac10 in the other. OH YEAH! (3x UAC10 and 2x ERLL might be good too)

You stole my build! You, Sir, are engaged in PreMeta!

Again!!!

Well, there is always standard engine Quad Gauss. I have a feeling it will be similar to building a quad LBX10 Mauler... But more liable to explode spontaneously.

Great minds think alike... that's how I run my Atlas-S, Look forward to building a better version of it in Clan tech.

Aside from all those functional builds... Quad LRM15, and pointe-defense with UAC/20 ?
