Lol you don't know me very well I take it. How much do you think I play MWO? Doom 4 allows for community maps... That simple, oh new engine, highly optimized, looks exstreamly pretty, etc etc has campaign.
Not to burst your bubble, I wouldn't get so hyped over Bethesda's DooM project. I've been playing DooM way longer before I even discovered the battletech franchise.
The game will be a reskinned Halo clone with brutal doom mechanics. Yeah, that's great they are adding community support, map customization, and blah blah blah. The original DooM community has been doing that for 20+ years now. What Bethesda is doing isn't groundbreaking by any means. I'll probably judge it once Bethesda throws the title in the 5 dollar bargain bin.

Instead of complaining about tech/time jump. We need to start thinking of how, write up articles if you must on how it will balance more. How to prevent massive power creep that will happen if done to hasty and wrong. Resulting in disastrous effects.
How do balance current stuff to still be viable
How should future weapons act? How should future armor work? There is a lot of stuff cover. Do a write up on this stuff aND benefits, be indepth on it, not just obvious statements. It is more beneficial to the game to point it out instead of just QQing and raging.
That's great and all, but perhaps PGI should get a clue once they start losing revenue when players aren't satisfied with their current product. Just like Imperius wanting the Mad Cat MK2 in the game, I want the IIC pack that I suggested for the clans, since the clan arsenal is incomplete. The game is not ready before the supposed time line jump. As much as I don't want to be the harbinger of bad news, Russ needs a wake up call and needs to stop trying to push this game into a competitive E-Sport. It's not even nearly ready to be called a competitive title with it's current state.
I think the reason why we are raging and QQing here is because of his general arrogance towards the community. We can make as many threads as we want trying to improve the game with hundreds of our own ideas, but they will be simply ignored and thus they will continue to make up excuses. Until Russ stops with his euphoric short sighted goals, the piss poor communication for suggestions for the game via twitter/reddit, we the battletech fans and general Mechwarrior enthusiasts have to stand up and stop buying things in this game as a whole.
It's the only way that they are going to listen if our voices want to be heard. And I want this game to succeed in the long run.
