I'm not interested as I'm on the other side of the other side's ocean but isn't the price tag a bit steep?

Or the other way what you will see and get for it seems to be a bit shallow for it...

So it's like 47$ USD for 3 meals and watching some people play a game.

Most US conventions I know of are 20-30$ for an entire weekend of events.

The pass comes with drink tickets, which I assume are the good kind.

That is an excellent question, actually. I am intent to bring my 17-year-old son, whom will not be able to stay at home alone, as he's not 18, yet, legally. Is that going to be a problem?

I actually looked them up & their website says they require 2 forms of gov. ID, 1 signed. I'm in the US and only have 1 form of gov't ID. In the US it's usually possible for a guardian to get a minor into a place that serves alcohol (besides a straight-up bar/tavern). I think PGI needs to address the 2 forms of ID issue, as well as the minors issue.

Legal drinky age is 19 in BC, and the event page says no minors under the age of 19. So yeah that's a problem for your kid, Kay Wolf.

I haven't seen anywhere that says 2 forms of ID required, but in Canada we consider things like a health care card and birth certificate as government ID. Healthcare card may be different in the US with your HMOs or whatever they're called.

You could also use your driver's licence and passport, which you'd need to get in the country anyway.

Should be awesome, already got the ticket, it's about a 5 hour drive for me, so, instead of dropping $300 on a flight, I will likely drive it :)

this gon' be gud!

I'm not driving from Alberta in December, so my task for the next 7 months is to convince my mom that Christmas is 2-3 weeks early this year... I'm not flying to BC twice in the same month Posted Image

OR, you could get a LOT more game convention with lots of TT and other gaming in,,,

http://www.gamestorm.org/

and see what a REAL gamecon is thats run by gamers for gamers and the ilk.

and its NOT a corporate fake convention for profits, but a non-profit. (hospitality room= free eats and non booze drinks pretty much all day n night) (and room parties as well) (and, ACTUAL HOT BABES EVERYWHERE who are hardcore gamers)

Sorry @Kay, but the page says:

PIRANHA GAMES PRESENTS

MECHCON 2016

Saturday, Dec 03, 2016 12:00 PM PST Doors
Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, BC
19 years and over

And, since the room has a capacity of about 1000 people.. Russ said (Ton Hall) something from [200]??? ticket for MWO crew reserved... It should left a limit just about [800].. I guess..
Of course it will be this way. It's a load of ****, especially for single parents. Just one more "screw you" from PGI. I'm getting used to it.

Russ said on the town hall the tickets sales are not even going to cover 50% of the cost of the party.
