If you could have anyone that plays this game on your team, who would it be?

I had a drop earlier where Soy, Kisumi Kitsune, Lord Nothing, The Argie and a few others whose names I can't remember where on my team in quickplay.

Without a doubt the biggest name team I've had in pugtopia(needless to say I must have been the low ELO/tier player balancing out all that awesomeness with my low rating Posted Image ).

Its usually a good thing whenever you see someone you recognize from the forums being on the same team as you. Forum posters that I've seen in game are usually knowledgeable & good.

That said if you could pick a team of 11 people to be on your team while pugging, who would they be?

Mcgral18 and Straker XL are two of my favorites to catch PUGging because they're usually in good mechs and almost always contribute substantially. (The hypocrisy here is that I'm usually leveling something, often subpar!) Other than that, most any top tier comp player (though a few are jerky enough I'd rather do without their skill).

I recall playing with an old salty from the forums for one of my all time greatest matches; he was in an Atlas; and shouted "Big Al Intercepting!" clearing away some enemies that had me completely pinned down and surrounded in the caldera on Therma.

There's LOTS of people I enjoy playing with for various reasons. Some are funny, some are helpful, some are very supportive (covering my back), others like to charge in, others I can count on to tank.

McGral is pretty good, I like running into Squishy (Straker's nickname). Watch out for Bulletsponge! He dishes it out more than he takes despite his name!

I've regularly dropped with you guys and all those mentioned in the prior posts all good players and good to be on team with.

Keep it up fellas you make the game just that little bit more fun.

I have dropped against Scout twice now. 1-1. I usually am trying off base builds in solo queue though so I get hammered badly.

Jedimechwarrior was always a blast to play with. Too bad he is not around these days.

Sandpit is pretty cool guy.

Never really had 'famous' pilots on my side in PUG matches, but I have fought:

cSand
Sandpit
El Bandito
McGral
Deathlike
E N E R G Y

Of those I know I've be a royal pain in the *** to a few of them, having been a case of "Why won't you just die already?!?"

I tend to prefer having less known names on my team. When there are too many BMMU, Lord, 420, MJ12, 12DG, etc (sorry if you're not listed, those just popped up first) tags on the field it takes way more effort to get kills ;)

But back on topic. I don't remember the guy's name. But for awhile there was this Atlas pilot calling out an "Atlas train of pain, Choo Choo" at the start of a drop and he would simply barge into the enemy hoping the team would follow. Those resulted in some of the most awesome laughs!

Deathlike's a scrub. Barely worthy of notice. And that Bandito guy, don't start me.

I love grouping with ShinVector for scouting matches. Even when he's in a Locust, you know you're getting top notch backup and can handle the mission even if the other 2 guys on your team Derp.

I also love dropping with PaulGadling in CW. Even if he runs off and does something totally different from the group, he's automatically good for like 5-10 kills and 1500 damage min.

Pretty much this.

I like to win as much as any one but if you can't play a game to have fun then screw it.
Winning i great, but still being able to have a good time and be in good spirits when you are in the midst of getting harvested by an MS 12-man is perhaps even more important.

Dimento Graven would be my choice. I very rarely run into him in the group queue but when I do, I >>HATE<< having him shoot at me, I'd so very much prefer to have him shooting at enemies...

I like seeing Bilbo, especially if he is in an Atlas. I miss Wispy's "Your lives, I claim them".

Proton had killed me in every single match I have dropped against him. I'm sure it's nothing personal...

Always happy to see forumwarriors in game.

I agree to El Bandito. Having Jedi Mechwarrior in your Pug Team was a blast. Especially when he wreaked havoc in one of his light mechs.
