I'm excited. This is my first mech preorder. It was the first one where I felt the variants were worth it, based on style, equipment and assumed hardpoint locations.

Also it's a giant robot bear. 'Nuff said.

Definitely a bargain for $20, to get 3 variants of a 100 tonner. And they all come with an XL400!

I'm hopeful to finally get a clan assault that is good. I won't buy an omnimech without endo/ferro, not after the Summoner.

I bought the HGN-IIC, which isn't very good due to too few hardpoints.

This one is a battlemech too, so it can change endo/ferro and even the engine (not that I'd want to go any slower). So we'll see.

I just wish one of the +cbill variants could equip JJ. I don't like playing without jets and a cbill bonus.

imho this thing will be nothing short of the pre-quirked atlas, yes i know all about the lighter weaposn with greater range blah blah but this is gonna be a massive dmg pinata. i did pre-order just fyi (which i regret lol)

You do realize we ARE talking about a Clan Battlemech, and not some Pre-Quirked 100 tonner, right?

I mean if it's >Dire Wolf's Speed and about = in Firepower, how is it Pinata? Would that mean the Dire's a Pinata too since it gets no quirks? Curious by the way.

Yeah I am of the thought that between the XL400 engine and high ballistic mounts it will serve as several steps above the pre-quirked Atlas.

Also it has a butt load of lasers in it's arms. I'm looking forward to those!

I'm kind of lost now, is this about the Kodiak not being able to take damage well, or because it's slow thus it'll take more damage.

Sorry to disappoint you guys...

But all this hype is just about a single kodiak-3 with a specific build.

All other kodiaks will be DOA.

I have the Kodiaks (and being a GB i'm excited).... but don't get too excited... you'll get 1 good variant + 3-4 useless variants.

Nah the Spirit Bearhugs will be great fun, and at least somewhat effective.

There are also some crazy laser vomit + Gauss builds that will surely rustle some jimmies, until power draw comes anyway.

I predict there will be 3 variants that I like.
