Blk, Mad, Or Rfl?

The Marauder is on this list for two reasons. One, I LOVE how this mech looks. I just absolutely adore what PGI did with it. Secondly, I like how simplistic it's armament is. Unlike the Rifleman and the Black Knight, which both have lots of smaller weapons crammed into every nook and cranny, the Marauder's variants have, in my opinion, a much more manageable number of armaments.
So, which one should I grab. The BLK, the MAD, should I wait for the RFL, or should I ignore all of these and go for something else?

But, the BLK is really optimized for running lasers. For er ppc marauder is better for its high weapons mounts.
The rifleman, I don't know. It's OK but not outstanding.

It's basically a faster and tougher Victor without JJ but with much more firepower.
But there's no point using erppc with it when you get Gauss Jager levels of DPS with minimal aim and almost neutral heat out to 600m or so using 3 lpls.
You can do the math yourself:
33 dmg from 3 lpls
10% range quirk
10% heat
10% recycling time or beam duration
Level 5 lpl range module
What do you get at 600m? You get about 15 damage every 3 seconds or so.
With dual Gauss you 30 damage about every 5 sec.
But you can't miss with lpl and it converges instantly, and has infinite ammo, so you are going to outrade a Gauss Jager.
With dual erppcs, you get 20 dng every 4 sec, whis is the exact same rate of DPS, but it's harder to aim and still puts out more heat with quirks (I think). You only start beating lpls past 600m, but hits will be iffy and component wise damage unrealistic unless someone is standing still.
In either case, lpl outrades it unless you are at 700m or so.

Disclaimer: I did not make this build. I actually modified a build that popped up in the display bar on the main page. All I did to it was swap out the PPCs in the right arm for a pair of ERPPCs. I know that doing that gimps my DPS, but I think it is an acceptable trade off considering the other benefits of using an ERPPC. I might design a Gauss build next, one that is unique to myself.

Should be good although it feels a little slow.

BL-6B-KNT: BL-6B-KNT Mordred
BL-7-KNT: BL-7-KNT Gawain
P.S. People keep saying that the Black Knight is optimized for Lasers. Thats only true with the 7L and the 6 to an extent. The 6B and the 7 aren't as optimized for Lasers.

Black Knight > Grasshopper > Warhammer > Marauder
The BLK, GHR, WHM are better mostly on the basis that they can run XL engines, while the Marauder really has Stalker-syndrome, which is both a blessing and a curse.
I do really like the Marauder though, on the basis that it isn't a big investment c-bill wise. All of mine use a 300 standard engine.
