As long as we waited, and as much as we paid, this is BS. I mean come on, seriously?

It's a Battlemech just like the IICs. That's why it has hardpoints... just like the IICs.

Only Omnimechs have omnipods. The Inner Sphere also has Omnimechs eventually, they're just not in the timeline yet.

Somebody didn't read the Sales page or know their lore apparently.

You are like the only one who didn't know this, fyi.

Maybe not the only one, there might have been like 6 others, in the entire world.

The lore is dumb, and they listed it as a clan mech. So I guess it should have been made a lot more clear. It's a huge waste of money, regardless.

Yes, because you can't read it is PGI's fault, clearly Posted Image

These aren't the first Clan Battlemechs in the game.

It always had those hardpoints. Have you not seen the Kodiak 3?

Not really, apparently so far they are apparently OP in some eyes. I have yet to play them this weekend.

If you think the Kodiak is a bad mech just because you can't swap omnipods (because it's a battlemech, not an omnimech) then you need to reconsider what makes a mech "bad". If built right, this thing outclasses the Direwolf, Atlas and King Crab because of the battlemech customisability and the varied hardpoints.

Thats saying something.

The IICs are Clan mechs as well. That doesn't make them magically Omni-mechs.

BTW, there will be IS omni-mechs someday, that doesn't make them Clan mechs.

Huge waste of money? Man, you should have paid attention to what you were buying then.

It is a clan mech. A clan BATTLEMECH. That's good, not bad: you can't swap omnipods, but you CAN change ES/FF/engine. It's IMHO the strongest Clan Assault right now.

Swapping the xl400 engine out for a xl375 (which you couldn't do in an Omnimech ) gets you seven tons to play with at the cost of like 4.5kph. That's a large pulse laser and a DHS, for example. Two ASRM6 and two tons of ammo.

Oodles of free tonnage, light and small clan weapons and DHS.

Anyways, you got exactly what the sale page said you'd get.

Didn't know if they were omnimechs or not, and I had actually skimmed the webpage. I don't think that makes me dumb.

I didn't buy them regardless, I have refused to buy clan mechs with real money since I bought the Gargoyle. The Gargoyle still makes me sad.

For future reference, where does it say it on the FAQ page? I did not see a mention on it on the FAQ sales page as a omni mech or using omni pods...

It is childish saying that he should have read the battletech lore or its history, instead point him to where it states it on the sales page. This is mechwarrior and it did not follow exactly the battletech lore or history, clan mechs would all be better and we would have vehicles and elementals in our actual game.

Personally I do like Omni mechs for reference, main advantage omni-pod makes no single CT variant horrible, just unchangable engines and CTs.
