I don't see how this game punishes newer players. It just has a steep learning curve and you have to put some though into how you play based on your build. You can't just run around like CoD, shooting to your hearts content.

Feel free to send me a friend invite and I can try to help out best I can. As far as trial mechs I'd recommend giving the Timberworlf and Battlemaster another go. I'm a big fan of the Battlemaster chassis and it's a decent loadout even if unskilled. You can alpha without heat penalty but it's still a hot mech.
What kind of build on you running on your Stormcrows? You may find it better to sacrifice a little firepower for more heatsinks until you buy the third and unlock all the skills!

Kodiaks need to be nerfed because they are assault Mechs? No, being an assault Mech does not mean that a Mech has to be nerfed.
If you feel like you need to stand toe to toe with assault Mechs, tjen drive an assault Mech. Don't ask for assault Mechs to be nerfed just because they can inflict much damage upon the enemy. They are not called Medic Mechs, they are called Assault Mechs.

Understand the MM tonnage habits.
Not know what CT means.
Get 1400 DMG and 7 KMDDs in a single match.
Have legitimate opinions on the balance of a mech that's been a part of the game a few days longer than they have.

1- In fact, events are playable by new players too... why you havent bought the kodiaks then?.
2- event did last 4 days, is not mandatory that you should kill everything in every chassis 24/7.
3- if you dont own a mech that can't face a kodiak or get in his back, support kodiaks in your team. who cares about KMDD if you're not scoring it in the mech for the event?
4- light mechs are the cheapest and the best mechs at taking out assaults.
i just think you're doing it wrong.

What was that?
Wasn't this some sort of LRM favorite snack or so?

Though people saying "Git good" might be annoying, they are in part correct. Play smarter, don't rush mechs like the Kodiak, Flank them, aim for soft spots, take out their torsos and they're just a 100 ton paperweights. Remember this is a "Tactical" game, though it may not seem like it more often than not, solid tactics for dealing with different mechs will go a long way.

There has been one consistent variable through all of your bad games. I suggest you work on the part of the equation you can influence.
