Fortunately I'm not having problems connecting or running the MWO Portal (updated after downloading the entire game).

Running Win7 x64 with .NET 4.5.1 currently.

.NET 4.6.1 is available apparently...

My current test rig is Win 10 x64, .NET 4.6 (394254) and I'm not getting this to happen at all. Did you set up a user account with custom settings? Or maybe some anti-virus software or such that may be impacting this? It seems like the portal is having a security issue, which is odd since a goal of this new portal is to not need any significant security access, and it hasn't caused any problems for the various account types I've tested with.

The fact that it got as far as the auto-update is curious, though - it means that the application can at least start. So it's just a matter of finding the failure point. Are you seeing any window whatsoever (even the "Exception Viewer" window)?

I have this error:

"URI not valid"

I run the instalation tool and doesn't seems to download anything.

I have installed Windows 7, Microsoft.Net 4.6.1 and the Mwo client runs perfectly.

As an aside, it would be nice to see the MWO Repair Tool in the MWO Portal section become operational. It comes up with a 403 - Forbidden type of message (obviously the server isn't giving any sort of access at the moment).

I have the same instantly-crashing-on-start problem as the rest here. running on win 10 x64 (autoinstalled over win 7 x64), latest .NET-version. Normal MWO client runs (Steam). I run Kaspersky as securitysoftware, but Kaspersky doesn't seem to have a problem with MWO Portal as there is no Kaspersky-window popping up with the start. I installed at E:/ (a SSD). AMD R9 280X GPU (had to downgrade the driver version lately, because otherwise I crashed while try to enter the training grounds with the actual recommended ATI beta-driver).

If PGI wants me to run some analytics software provided by them, I would totally do it.

Temp solution for localized Win10:
1.Create Local group "Users" (without ") and add your account
2.Create empty group "CREATOR OWNER" (without ")

in future: after developers fix this problem - delete created groups

having auto-updated, now your nice window pops up, telling me: "Ungültiger URI: Der URI ist leer." (Invalid URI: The URI is empty)

then it crashed with the same exeption as before.

We've tested installing to various directories, on various drives, with and without "special" characters and not seen this particular problem. I have no advice, but I am curious if the auto-update is working. Have you gotten any of the updates I've published? I've published two tonight in the last hour or so.

I have the same problem, and yes portal got your new update. Still not working.

Got message in exception viewer: Impossible to translate some or all identity reference.
