No matter how many times I see this, it never stops being weird. For some reason I haven't tried it yet and I feel kinda bad about that since I love me some Adders.

It works with the UAC, though. Stay in the mid to rear, pump out as much UAC as you can before it jams, then reposition. Added perk is people never expect dakka out of an Adder. I've lost count of how many heavy mechs just kinda stare at me while I'm sawing a torso off. Not sure if it's the screen shake and explosions throwing their aim off, or just the absurdity of it, but it works way more often than it should.

Also surprisingly mean against light mechs, since even 2 damage applied twice a second adds up fast against other lights. The 15 damage from the lasers is respectable, too.

Add lunch truck warhorn to salt gaping ego wound in enemy killed by UAC2 Adder.

I am surprised that this Mech has become my go to. I thought of myself as a Medium pilot but the Hell's Horse has won my heart. Despite being a hotblooded ride, it has carried me to some of my best games so far.

Without question my HBK-4G(F). It's an aggro magnet which makes piloting a challenge yet rewarding when it works out.

I'm still a relative newb and still very much in Pokemech mode.

But for me, I'd honestly have to say my St. Ives Blues "Anna Milton." Nothing at all meta about its brawly build and one of the most derided chassis, and not even my best stats, but it's one of my first purchases and still my most played. It'll always have a special place in my heart.

Most of my unit would say any Locust especially the Pirates Bane. My first love was the Spider 5 D. I was really dangerous with the PPC 2 Er small variant. Of course PPCs have been nerfed so much that I tried that build recently and just missed to much with PPC. Now I am using Lgpulse and 2mediums. Mech just seems to focus me into a killing machine. I really get bloodlust in it when I see a Raven.

My Hunchback and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...
My Hunchback is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my Hunchback clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before Kerensky, I swear this creed. My Hunchback and I are the defenders of my people. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is the Commonwealth's and there is no enemy, but peace!"

Some of you will get the idea. Some won't. But for most of us there is simply that one mech that we always return to. Just as a soldier in war forms an almost superstitious bond with his rifle. You don't just grab ANY rifle when the bullets start flying, but yours. Because you know yours liek the back of your hand. You know you can depend on it, no matter what. What others might perceive as flaws in your rifle, you know are marks of it's character.

So it should be with mechs. Despite the trends, the Metas, if you had to stop and choose just one mech to use exclusively from now on in MWO, what would it be? Think carefully. Metas change, and are fickle, like a vain gold digger. What you depend on today to dominate might well betaken away in the next capricious pass. A good mech is one you know you can rely on, regardless the Meta. It may never be sexy, but it also never let's you down.

What's that mech, for you?

Posted Image

This is my Hunchback. Others tell me it needs less ammo. Needs a bigger engine. But this is MY Hunchback. And chances are high that it has killed you. Because this is my Hunchback.

So again, when the chips are down, the Meta uncertain, what is YOUR Mech?

Ahh, boot camp revisited.

Always worked decent for me, some lrm screenshake distraction is always underestimated.
Not as good in the high firepower games going on atm especially running an XL, but the faster torso twist does give you a couple of chances to spread it around.

Mobility is a godsend if someone picks conquest.

I love the OP.... for me, it's the Dire Wolf Prime, followed by the Warhawk B.

I have a couple configurations for the prime, one balanced and one short ranged.

6 ER Small Lasers
3 UAC 10
Either 2 Srm 6 or 2 LRM 10
2 heat sinks, rest of tonnage to ammo
If packing srm6, I have a tc2

The Warhawk b is lrm 40 plus 5 mpls.

People say both are bad. My kill to death ratio in the dire just hit 4, the Warhawk it's 4.6. Both average over 800 damage per match and usually several kills and 3 or so kmdd. Can't ask for better imho.

If you take this loadout, and swap 2x UAC5 for 1x UAC20, you have what i run on the chassis(I have a lulz MPL boat to but that is, well, lulz).

Hot and furious. Just don't be the point man lol.

Well, I´m pretty Mechalicious, but one that has the same loadout since I own it, it was among the first 10 Mechs I owned in this game, and it was my very first to break 1k damage in: My trusty Cicada 3M. 2ERLarges for sniping on the big ones sides and rear. ECM to keep me hidden or to help out my team. 2Mediums for added firepower when needed.

I've got a stormcrow full of SRM-4s and it's basically like piloting a pre-nerf huginn on a 55 ton mech.

Shadow Hawk nut here. My most played mech is the SHD-2K with about 500 games. Long-time favourite loadout's been XL300, 3xERLL, 3xSRM2, BAP, AMS. Recently I've been toying with an alternative loadout for scouting games, with XL300, 3xML, 3xASRM6.

I have a hunch the Phoenix Hawk will become a new staple... it's my favourite mech in TT, hoping it'll transfer at least OK into MWO.

THIS is my Kingcrab. Enought ammo for longrange engagements or brawls, people tell me to just take the 4x5uac dakka crab or less alpha and a standart engine or more heatsinks. It may run pretty hot and theres no artemis opn the srms.
But this is mine. The last game I onehit 2 kodiks and brawld down an atlas within 20 seconds, the game beforrehand I anahilated a lone ebj, and then oneshot the 2 lights commin to help him + finished of anotherone with a gauss round to the back.
This Kingcrab is something you do not want to turn your back to or stand still infront within the 726m optimal range of my gauss.

But enought talking, here is the Picture.

KGC-0000

5 tons of ammo is 25 shots which is enough but if you run out early a lot you can take one heatsink out of the engine
400 SRM ammo, you only carry 2 tons in yours and that is a shame because 24 missiles at once will eat a lot of ammo quickly

The build is totally doable with the changes I made, you really should consider more ammo for the SRMs
