This is my Hunchback. Others tell me it needs less ammo. Needs a bigger engine. But this is MY Hunchback. And chances are high that it has killed you. Because this is my Hunchback.

So again, when the chips are down, the Meta uncertain, what is YOUR Mech?

I must have missed the Hunchback build first time around. I like it Bishop!

This is pretty much what I run.

Unlike your config, I had to try and squeeze a bit more speed out of mine. It left me with some armor compromise, but slow-ish never seemed to be my friend in the 4G (I know, I tried).

You get a like for HBK-4G love. And yes you want a bit less ammo and a 250/255 engine in it. Speed to get to where that AC20 can do its job and the speed to get out when they realize you're a real threat to their ***.

You run out your way, I'll run it mine. This fires me to perfection, and left me in 1st on the 4G founders plasterboard after 8 hrs of play. The scores I made in that short window were high enough to leave me @16th at the end of the event, vs people who Peri literate ground the entire 72 hrs.

Not trying to sound douchey, but my 4G is optimal for me, period. 4 years, 5000 matches, if I wanted a bigger engine or less ammo, I would have done so. Telling me how " l should " run it, is a little presumptuous, tbh.

I don't have any particular builds, but I can certainly say that the Cicada is 'my' chassis.

I have an intimate connection with my X5, 3M, and 3F.

Not douchey at all, I was being sarcastic. My HBK does me fine. The extra speed gave it the last bit I needed to have it be my most loved mech. Here's its stats as of right now.

I haven't updated it for years, not even the paint which lives in glorious stock Founders colors. Here is the build I run: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...833d0449e306933

Between Clans, Unseen and general disillusionment with the state of the game, not playign anywhere near as heavy as my first 2.5 years, in fact, I would say the last year I have been dropping less than 1/4 the amount I had in previous years.

Also, my HBK stats post reset have been 100% PUGLyf.

Hailz all:

Bishop Steiner is accurate in his post. I recently took my Hunchback 4G(F) out of mothballs and have done well with it. The old AC20, 3 medium laser combo works well. Love it when an assault or heavy gets spun around by an AC20 hit, then grinds back around only to be hit again, makes me smile. 4G doesn't require a 4 second cool down. Would I drive this mech in an individual fight with a Heavy or assault if I had a choice? NO. Play as a team in this mech it works well, if you get caught fighting a heavy or assault mech by yourself you will be really beat up, but there is a good chance you will be standing on a burning enemy mech chassis at the end.

When I'm really disliking playing this game my fallback mech is the Shadowcat; 2xCLPL, ECM, Radar Dep, LPL cool down, UAV, Air Strike... Love how mobile this mech is with Masc and JJ. Makes it possible to avoid a lot of damage!

Useful for me on any of the puggland games/maps; Can scout/recon if none, can poke at range if my team is camping, can ECM shield, can sit on the shoulder of a heavy/assault mech when team moves, can dissuade lights from getting behind teammates, can get to hard to reach areas on the map... can masc and jump about like crazy when I take a wrong turn!

Ironically didn't think I would like this mech at all and took me ages after I bought it to even drop with it.

For me, it's my Rifleman. I love it. I just.... love it. It fits so well, I.... I think I have a problem. :/

1.5 win rate, 2.0 KD. Not that I care at all about that stuff. I'm just having fun. :D

I cannot say I have a single mech, but have a few.

First up, the BJ-1X. Used to tear things up in this mech, pushing the skill cap as much as I could. Then sadly, she got hit by the nerf bat, repeatedly, then some more and more and more. This coincided with the release of the warhammer, which some thought would be doa cause of it's hardpoint location and big shoulders. How very very wrong.

The Black widow rapidly overtook the BJ to become my favorite mech. No matter how many mechs I have to master (And with 300+ mechs there are still plenty waiting). It is just so much fun to brawl with and looks so good.

Aside from these two, my heart will always be with the Raven. It is just such a cool mech to run & although it does not stand up as well to the oxide/jenner IIC it is still a highly effective light mech in the right situation, be it ERLL sniping or srm boating with the huggin.

Let's revive this thread!

After a short break of MWO, I often started playing with a fresh mind and being ultra focused. This is the perfect time to take out my AC/20+3ASRM6+2ML HGN-733C for a spin because this 90t Atlas/Centurion hybrid 'Mech does require a bit more focus due to its slow brawling style.

Usually I was rewarded with good results because AC/20+SRMs doesn't disappoint! A good way to start playing (then I'll use my laser barf robots when the concentration begins to drop again).
