IDI are going Kurita from Thursday night for 7 days.

I would be interested to find out if any of the merc units that have an EU presence would be interested in coordinating a counter rotation. For instance CBR1 and IDI will be Kurita for 7 days at roughly the same time, if a couple of EU merc units were to setup in either Smoke Jaguar, Davion or FRR for the same period then we are all guaranteed at least some action.

With the exception of a Friday night IDI usually runs 4-8 man groups and I would suggest this is actually a good thing. It means there is always room for other small groups and even our solo dropping brethern in the queues, everyone is able to get a fair chance at finding some action.

With the lack of overall activity in FP, and the small number of my unit's players participating in FP atm, I'll make a decision on where 54MR are headed Wednesday morning.

Cbr1 will be jade falcon Tuesday night as is our first Tuesday of every month clan tradition. Then we vote for next inner sphere contract. We will be inner sphere after clan week till December.

Marik for the atleast the next 7 days. Maybe Kurita next, but will probably stay IS for atleast the next 2-3 weeks. Also im looking for some fellow PUGs to join FTMC to play together in the evenings after the kids go to bed, and/or wives and girlfriends.

I like the idea behind this thread but Faction Play is just so 'HoHum'. I mean when it takes a drop ship anywhere from 4-21 days to get from where the Jump points are to the Planets, a 24 hour planet turn around is laughable. If the primary objective to win a planet was just to destroy Big Farkin Guns a Kinetic strike from Space solves that problem, even without resorting to using a 'Dinosaur Killer' sized body to do it. Maps shouldnt have any interior out of bounds areas, each team should have 3 DZ's to start from that the teams pick in secret. The Primary objective is destroy the enemys mechs over the course of a week a certain amount of battles have to be won by the attackers who can only use the number or troops (aka Mechs) that they sent there to attack and the defenders only can use whats on planet to defend it (and this is where Mercs come into play by taking contracts and doing negotiations with Units etc etc. Faction Play is to Planetary Leagues as Professional Paintballing is to Real Combat. AKA falls way short of being alike in any way.

Oh I agree with you but not really what this thread was intended to accomplish. CW/FW/FP/QFP has or had huge potential, us loonies in this thread still enjoy the longer matches and use this to at least announce our intended faction destinations. Whether PGI managed to create something more entertaining, immersive, Lore friendly or even tangibly realistic with the mode I willnleave for other discussions.
