I'm new to MWO and the Battletech lore (I played MW3 when I was very young but that's about it), so I just joined Clan Wolf because the clans have my favourite 'mechs and Wolf seemed the least dystopian to the lore. :| I feel like I need a lecture to get me up to speed so I came to the forums.

I really want to get into faction wars though - I have experience with WoT and clan skirmishes and I'd be willing to try and coordinate a team (although I haven't done so before; I'm still getting a grasp on tactics, etc.)

Honestly, if you are new new, i'd sink my teeth into a wholllle bunch of quick plays drop to get your basic skills down. Then i'd join a large unit and get a whoolllee bunch of scouting and invasion drops done. Then you can start on lore, tactics, and strategy. Try joining the SWOLs or CWI to start with. They're a good place to learn and possibly move on from.

I'd still be a Wolf if we did not have to wait 25 minutes to get a drop with help from two other Clans. And we could not even chat with them to set anything up.

I remember being stunned that the Clans would even hire Mercs.

It is great to see you all doing so much better, we only had two Planets when I left. I admit, I have not even looked in a while it was so depressing.

If - and when - the tonnage for the dropdeck allows me to pack 4 kitfoxes in, then I might consider joining FW. As it stands, however, I just don't have the fully outfitted 'Mechs to stand up against the organised groups.

Not to mention I'm a horrible pilot for everything that isn't a light or a light medium. :/

just remember the mercs are here because the potential for good fights. that means to keep the momentum and interest loyalists will have to jote to attack clans.

Voting the bears is a vote for ghost drops, hence there is no-one in queue and hasn't for 6hrs now. Wrong target to be picking as there won't be any drops there.

CW is 100% queue empty... At least last night there were *some* games against IS.


CJF is where the population is - CJF.

Don't hold your breath. CJF had only 4-6 pilots waiting in que many of times last night and it took forever to build a team.

Yeah I'm not mate, you're right.

Queue's are dead everywhere, usual event really. Not one planet had anyone on it in US peak time or Oceanic (save for one person who probably have the best screenshot of all time lol)

24-48hrs it'll be back to "normal", not that normal is great

Huh, What are you even talking aout CJF has a huge population. A population that includes pugs, loyalists, and house mercs. The issue here is Innersphere doesnt want to attack CJF, and all the consumer confidence right now is in clan technology. If 12 dudes que'd to attack CJF they would defend so again what are you talking about? Given how bloated the ques where during the FW there would be matches.
