And still you want to keep giving your money to PGI?

PGI knows their game isnt where it needs to be,

thats why PGI is working on Map revisits, even Revisit revisits,
as well as Scaling, another Weapon Balance Pass, Requirking after Scaling,
working on NPC AI, as well as Helo and Tank Models,
non of this is directly generating them Income,

why else would they be working on such things?

I'm interested in the Phoenix Hawks AND the Cyclopses, but I didn't pre-order either one. the flood of new mech packs are coming at me way too fast, and the game isn't fun enough to keep me playing long enough to actually elite the mechs before moving on to the next one. I'll be getting the PHXes and Cyclopses with C-bills. The one hero mech I want is actually cheaper to just buy it with MC rather than pre-ordering it and adding the 15 dollar package.

But yeah, I don't have a mid-range medium like the Phoenix Hawk, and it's a very versatile little design in Tabletop, so I'd like to give it a go in MWO. As for the Cyclops, I'd been rooting for it to be introduced for years, moving the game a little bit more into the information warfare territory. I'll be getting a few of those. Again, C-bill purchases, as the "Extra mechs" pack holds the one ECM version I'd want, and the hero isn't something I want.

sure. In nice low mounts, with a relatively low engine (probably, need to theorycraft it again), or little to know backup weapons. So it'll probably be a much worse boomjager. Probably can pack a 325 std or so, so mostly "mobile" Atlas speed, which ain't terrible.... but without massive structure quirks, it's geometry and skinny arms are not going to be conducive to survivability.

I'd probably Dual UAC5 or Dual AC10 it. Double 20s are too hot in my limited experience (read bad fire discipline in brawls with big guns lol) with double 20s.

With a STD 325, 4 tons of ammo, it should have about five tons left over at max armor and 2 20s. Enough for some heat sinks and not much else.

Not exactly what I'd consider desirable.

and 4 tons of ammo for 28 tons of weapon investment (560 max dmg on a 90 tonner?)? Not a good trade. 6 minimum, and realistically, 8 for putting that much tonange into them. 2x14 ton paperweights aren't too useful if one runs dry.

Also, 10s or smaller allow for an XL, which is almost a must to maximize the dual ballistics.

Yeah. 2 10s or 2 UA5s, would be a better option for sure. At least then even if you ran light on ammo that gets you some medium lasers for back up.

I like my super-jumping dual PPC cicada, so hopefully the Hawk will be able to do the same and survive more than a cursory laser sweep by the big boys. If so it's worth purchasing, but I can't be sure until after release so I'll wait for C-bills.
