No, a full on seventy seconds is not cool to wait after the match is found, however long that can take, followed by twenty seconds for map select, followed by load time(or if you have ssd). All said when coupled with the long time in between saving load outs (different problem entirely) it can take quite a while just to get into one 15 min game.... Which lasts 7 minutes lol

The solution is stopping disconnects.

NO the real solution is for HIM to disconnect, PGI will never get it fixed on their end because according to them its not on their end.

A little bit of wait time gives you time to reflect on what you did wrong in the last game and what you can do better in this one. Use it wisely. Gamers are so impatient these days!

The lobby time is annoyingly long. They should drop it down to 40 sec, at least. While they're at it, they should remove the "Ready" button: non-functional UI annoys me.

This makes me realize why a majority will never flock to sim games. I spend 10 min fueling, 5 min starting up, 30 minutes transiting to the AO, and then I get shot down in a 2 minute engagement. And I'm having fun doing it.

The attention span of most gamers seems to be ridiculously short. Will all games start marketing to the quake style instant action and nothing else?

Ya for sure, I'd rather work on my loadout rather than watch a timer tick down before I can play. I think a good majority of us would rather do something interactive and adds immersion during any other point in this game that involves waiting.

i wouldn't have so much issue with the countdown if the damn thing didnt flat out lie to me, sometimes jumping from 80 to 8 seconds in an instant. it looks like i have enough time to get me some tea, i come back and theres a squirrel working on my armor a minute into the game. if the game is going to start whenever the hell it wants to, why even show a countdown?

the longer the time between hitting quick play and all systems nominal, the more likely people are going to get sidetracked and end up afk. im doing it right now as i write this post.

Which takes 70 seconds to happen.

I actually timed it out one night when the light queue was particularly low < 10%

From the time I hit the QP button to the time I was able to move my mech averaged out to be 2 minute and 10 seconds over the course of several EST Prime Time nights of play a while back.

I feel sorry for the heavy mechs. Times like this seriously makes me doubt the MM. Reason being is as a light mech I should not be waiting almost 2 minutes for match start.

Under the old system "Random Map and Selected Mode" I was dropping in less than a minute in a light. This stupid voting system has SEVERELY increased the time it takes to launch for no discernible reason.

Honestly lets got back to random maps and selected modes. MOST folks I think were far happier with that than they were with the current system. I mean seriously how many people actually vote for Forest Colony? Viridian Bog? Terra Therma? River City?

This should say something to the developers. I would LOVE to the the numbers on the percentages of each map that is chosen. For that matter mode as well.

the game gives Connecting players 60seconds to connect,
if all players connect before that initial 60 seconds is finished it jumps down to 10 seconds,
this way as soon as all the people have taken their seats in the Theater the movie will start Promptly,
