A lot of the overly hostile ones over there are banned here so yeah. Perhaps PGI should ignore that garbage and focus on things here where that stuff isn't happening?

No, I think it is quite the opposite. People on Outreach in particular, tend to not be overly hostile, and many of us have good intentions and really want the game to be great, but there are many underlying reasons why we don't post on the forums. Sure, the salt spills once and a while, particularly after how much phase 3 flopped and how poor balance still is (the FP map should be an indicator of how much Clans have been trashed in recent balance passes). We see no reason to post on the forums because the perception seems to be that we all have ego problems and are always salty when I think it is the opposite. PGI has done enough things to warrant the hostile behavior, just look at how much they messed up with MWOWC and how little feedback they have actually taken from competitive groups and top end FP units as far as balance is concerned. There is also a general feeling that the forums are far too much of an echo chamber of people who think the state of the game is acceptable, when it could be so much better than it is.

Mmmmm.

We'll see. Communication is key. If he continues, I'll be satisfied enough. Since the whole gist of this was the Sudden Black following a period of Sullen Behavior. What some of the drama llamas don't compute is my concern is for keeping MWO afloat and in touch with it's community, not trying to sink or vilify it. But I don't see my wallet opening for a while.

Ya.....the Assassin is pretty much the only mech they could produce right now that would make me buy it.

Impulse?

I have no fondest memories in this franchise than with that mech. MW2: Mercs. Used one until the Glittering Gold mission.

Best mech ever

"Fortress Pirahna" sounds cool, like the runner-up evil faction hideout behind Cobra Island in G.I. Joe.

I just ended buying mechs. Got 1,5yrs premiumtime rolling and another 6months banked, so I don't even have that motive to buy mechs with real money.
Balance between IS/clans swings by what mechs PGI is trying to sell, by Alpha-lance it's now heavily on IS side, but it will change back by Viper, Night Gyr, Huntsman etc to clanners. Happend before, will happen again.

Well, I do not know about "balance" but in terms of variety Clan IMHO needs some more mechs. Expecially for mediums.

This is part of the reason I've distanced myself from this game. I booted it up a couple nights ago, and it was... boring. Same old in and out. Same this, same that. Sucks because I enjoyed this game so much but after that confucktion of the last townhall, compounded by their "screw everyone, we know everything" I find myself distancing myself from the forums as well.

Once I'm done my lil 1000 post giveaway this Friday I'll likely make myself scarce, or not come back at all. Play a bit after each patch to see what's up. I can't bring myself to do it for most of the reasons listed in the first couple pages.... :(

Does anyone not recall the summer vacation Russ mentioned when he did three town halls to cover into July?
Just a thought.

All I see is Russ's agenda being pushed with little to no consideration for what the general population of MWO actually wants (and was promised from day one).

I was with you until you said this. Specifically "with little to no consideration for what the general population of MWO actually wants (and was promised from day one)".

The community is so fractured when it comes to "what it wants" that they really cant with any real certainty listen to what "they" want. They have at times listened to the the forums with very bad results. They have also gone dark and done what they felt is right with bad results as well. If they listen to the Comp teams on how things should work, they get back lash from the non comp side. When they try to fulfill the wants of the "basic" player, the comp side flips out. Many times there are not choices that will meet with fanfare.

What I hope for are not choices that receive fanfare from all sectors, but decisions that are best for game play and the license of Battletech and MechWarrior, In my OPINION, its been about 50/50 there. Id like to see it around 70/30 and hope that it gets there.

I do troll on these forums and people may thus mistakenly beleive that i do not like the game. Whilst i do sometimes feel unenthused by this game, what often makes me come back is the people ive gotten to know and play together with (shout out to 2323,1st Hussars, MS, 228, ISRC dudes/dudettes and all the others i drop with.

Hey come over to the FRR TS if you dont have a unit, lots of guys there to play with (often a little drunk) which makes the game play so much fun/interesting/better.

I'm already buying the Viper. The only Clan mechs you'll get me to buy in the near future are the Wedigo (Which won't be in for some time) and the Horned Owl.
