+1. I see the newer players my group plays with make this mistake all the time. Gotten to the point of having to say something about it before they poke into a combined 200+ damage.

Distraction, and get a member or two to reposition and hit them from the back, while they are distracted, push in and cause a confusion which may help you win. Make sure the pokers scrape and of their backs to turn them around. when this is done, the others should push in immediately and get the jump on them. That's some training I did for my unit who were going to participate, always worked the first time, second to third time they smarten up.
