Drop PPC ghost heat all together...
Drop heat by 90%...
Increase velocity by 300%...
Make it take up only 1 crit slot and weigh 1 ton...
Yeah...Yeah, That's It...That's The Ticket!

Just keep repeating to yourself:
"I dont know what I am talking about when it comes to balance"
"I should be thankful to Russ for even bothering to make this game in the first place"
"I would like to buy a mech pack"

Because the PPC damage is front loaded. There is no beam duration, so you expose your mech for a very limited window.
I've heard of people doing evil things with jump-sniping Summoners with twin ERPPCs and a big TC. Hell, if the Summoner were a more min-maxed chassis (like the Timby or Ebon Jag), it would likely have a bigger effect on the game. The Summoner Prime Right Arm has a 30% velocity buff for ERPPCs. The Mk VII TC grants a 35% projectile speed bonus, which modifies the projectile speed of the ERPPC to 2145 m/s, faster than a Gauss round. No ammo dependency, no exploding weapon, no charging the gun; just hop up, throw some lightning, and drop down. With only 2 ERPPCs it's a bit on the abusive side, but not OP. If the Summoner had endosteel and/or could remove extra jets to free up more tonnage for a third ERPPC the thing would be a nightmare.

6 PPC Stalker would be brutal, oh wait we've already done that and it didn't work out well.
Some of you need to stop requesting/making suggestions about balance, as you are the very people that PGI have a tendency to listen to, and that's why balance has always been an issue.
Bottom line, YOU ARE CLUELESS AND DON'T UNDERSTAND BALANCE.

Yeah... pretty sure I wouldn't bother with CERPPC if that were the case. I'd probably swap my 2CERPPC+6SPL build for 6MPL+2 flamers or something.

Granted that was when a 60 damage alpha was massive, PPCs weren't slower than a ketamine addicted turtle, and even then the 4PPC stalker was way more common and typically more useful.

PPC's could use a 50% velocity tweak (the Warhammer's +50%) is about perfect for the base velocity. Get it up to gauss speed and we're where it needs to be.

This isn't a point at all, just thought I would share. It was pretty fun.

So that it can compete with a broke system that allows us to alpha obscene numbers of weapons repeatedly. PPCs are not meant to be alpha'd in huge numbers. We had 50% PPC heat, it was pretty much OP as ****, TDR9S anyone?
PPCs are supposed to be punchy, chain fired weapons.

But but but, the stock Awesome 8Q and 9M are supposed to fire 3 then 2 then 2 then rinse and repeat. That THREE COULD be 2 followed by 1 after 0.5 seconds. Amirite???
