1. Anyone else received this email?
2. What would be the point? It's not like you can steal mc, mechs, or cbills, right?

"Hi uh...this is Paul.
Look. I'm trying to get balance right, but I can't make these super awesome balance changes live until you reset your password. Please verify your MWO account by replying with your SS#, Date of Birth, and list of mechs you would totally not want nerfed."

What I see here is that somehow somebody got the fact that you are linked to PGI either through your emails with PGI, software installed or MY GOD Steam info on what you are associated with. Pretty sure Steam sells info to others and a scammer can say they have an item that appeals to folks who are linked to XY and Z product like - do you have a list to sell.
You need to figure out how the MWO game was linked to your email or get ready for more incoming scams that may not be as obvious.
Have fun. Somebody has a key to your house and only you can take care of this.

That is PGIs business is to make money anything else is a hobby for kids in mommies basement. Was told this by a boss in less specific terms. No money no job, no product period.
The issue here is not about nerd rage against PGI, but a legitimate scam by a real sh*t head (maybe using STEAM purchasable data*).
If you want to rage against somebody we have a real target but somebody needs some original lines.
*see I found a way to poke at steam that may be real and may help solve the issue, but is not a a flat out insult or unimaginative

That would mean user data was extracted from them (hacked) or sold b an intern.
Where is the post that is informing their customers that this happened?
We have the legal right to be informed and given the chance to change passwords etc...
At this point I WANT an answer PGI!
Everyone should take this serious, who knows what other information was maybe stolen.
