Right now you're probably thinking this Scout guy, he knew he was stupid and childish posting that thread and now he doesn't want to show all the drama, he's such a kid. no it's not that, it's something else and I haven't said what it was, and drama is not wanted here. well, for some of us.

Something the more do in-home personal affairs and some other bogus stuff that's been going on with my life lately, just family stuff and it's pretty bad as in taking a dire wolf with machine guns and flamers on Polar Highlands.

And it got to a point to where I just got so upset with my personal life that I allowed it to get into the forums, and that's not right, it's selfish and I'm sorry for that.

Yeah I know it sounds like a cop-out but it's not fair to some here, I'd rather come back and apologize rather than just let it go off and let them let it become something that you really didn't want to be; something big and nasty and looked like I ignored it all and was acting childish, which I did yesterday.

I'm not expecting you to forgive me or say give me a pat on the back I'm just here to say to you I'm sorry and apologize (again) because I feel it's right and it's wrong to just say what I said yesterday it's not right.

Here's how it goes shortly; Just had a lot of things that have been going recently for me lately and it's been getting to me and there's a couple things that are in a way long-term and I need to take a break from the forums.

Yeah I know you can get your popcorn or you can get your pitchforks or you can come in with your own little hammertrying to hit me with it but if anything try to be reasonable at least I know I haven't been but at least I'm trying to make an effort to turn it around.


To keep this prevalent to General discussion just going to ask you how many are going to make the Huntsman they preorder streak boats or splat builds?

Best of Luck, Derek. Everyone needs to take a break from MWO from time to time ... and in the grand scheme of things ... it is just a meaningless video game that some of us occasionally enjoy playing. It isn't worth any emotional angst over.

The most important thing to remember in the world of online gaming, at least in my opinion, is that REAL LIFE comes first. The real world, friends, family, work, and leisure are often found outside your computer, outside the door to your room and outside your window. Many of us develop online friendships and connections which can be very important but it is the people and places that you interact with every day that should come first. So ... take a break from the virtual and come back when you feel like it.

Happens to all of us. Just few are willing to man up and admit it.

I probably will not run Splat or Streak Boats. I only have the basic pack (thanks to JackalBeast's generosity...or my mad poetry skills, I guess, depending on how you wanna twist things... ) without the current spare cash to get the Hero, so that limits me anyhow...but even so, I prefer more balanced builds.

3 builds I would like to run (most requiring Hero or the P, sadly)

4x aSRM4 (torsos)/ 4x SPL (arms) (Hero/Prime)
4x SRM4 (Arms) / 1x LB-10x or UAC10 (Torso) (Bravo/Papa)
4x SPL (arms) / 1x UAC10 (torso) (Prime/Bravo)

Splat for sure. 8-ASRM4 ftw, though I'm sure I'll be experimenting with a wide variety of non-SRM based builds on it.

Also, SOMANYMISSILE builds. Mini LRM-5 Mad Dogs with 6 LRM 5's + 3 ERMLs, for example. Streak-4 builds for a faster shooting version of the Streakcrows pumping out 32-missile barrages.

While it'd be miserable for heat, a 48 SRM salvo is doable, making it the Splatsman (aka Jenner IIC, steroid jumper edition). It'll be the Clan matchup to machines like the Griffin, though the latter will likely be a bit faster but with smaller total missile loads.

Neither anyways, I have the only clan mechs I care about, if I were I guess streaks cause then I don't have to aim as much laziness ftw!
