Ehhhhh, I don't know. In my honest opinion, there are too many IS mechs at the moment, so PGI should, in my opinion, be adding nothing but Clan mechs for the next while. Not just Omnimechs, but also Clan Battlemechs like the Horned Owl.

There are a lot more IS mechs than Clan in Battletech lore, so that will always be an imbalance. Also not a good way to keep both sides of the playerbase invested of they don't have new mechs to look forward too. Believe it or not there lots of players who are ONLY Clan, or ONLY IS.

To be fair, if it was a light, we'd get the old and cranky assault pilots in here with " SCOUTING LIGHTS ONLY " talk.

Now that it's a medium, they don't have that card to play as strong.

FTFY, I'm a cranky (not old) assault pilot (technically) and I don't ever think that.

Sure it is. Just one that skipped a few sessions at the Gym. (After all, no one considers the CDA a credible Medium......) Posted Image

Plus...TBH, the palette of remaining IS Lights.... is not exactly a bunch of barnstormers, either. And that's before considering how poorly they fit the current sales model, tbh. Posted Image

Mongoose is just another Death Knell (that looks cooler)
Stinger, Wasp, Flea? All slower than the Assassin even
Valkyrie.... aside from Nostalgia.... so what?
Javelin---- Humanoid Jenner with less free tons
Hermes.... Junk laserboat
Hussar? Real niche...would be neat visually, at least.
Mercury? Laser Locust.

*shrugs*

Now if the 3055 Lights are available, even with made up variants.... that gives us a broader selection of mechs with varying degrees of potential. But do we want to (or does PGI want to, more accurately) push off timeline jump to force more made up mechs?

I don't care. Throw me a bone.

2 assaults
3 mediums
5 heavies
Since the last light.

I'm on the warpath and am uninterested in excuses! :P

Really the most you will get is just new "skinned" versions of the current meta lights, but I guess light pilots will take anything (including a Flea).

Yeah, I understand the limitations, but, yeah, really, we will. Stinger/Wasp 2-pack, baby!

The assassin is nice and I have no arguments against it.

That said I would still rather have the Whitworth. It is a more specialized mech though being primarily a missile delivery system.

Really we are at the point where it doesn't matter so much except on each mech per tonnage so it's almost down to aesthetics and player desire.

Nice artwork, bit dramatic a pose don't you think compared to the original TRO ?

For someone that once told me and the community that it was unreasonable to have limber agile mechs, despite the fact there are Battle tech books which present them as agile, and they should feel slow and powerful, I see an Assassin cos playing a power ranger, while giving Jean Grey a piggy back while in Phoenix form ;)

Dig aside , I do like your art work a lot , six months ago I would have snapped one up in seconds, its a mech I like, and there should be more mediums in game, but the way I feel right now about M.W.O its going to take a tro 3025 Crusader( not the thing with the god awful wrist mounts from 3039 , Stinger and /or Wasp to get my interest in this game off of life support.

Yup. And I can argue all day that a 4/6 40 tonner is less than ideal.... but at the end of the day, unless all you play is Comp or are a delusional Comp Wannabe (got a lot of them around here) want means more than needs, especially since we are saturated enough now that "need" is debatable.

I hope you get your Whitworthless, too. So I can whup on you from my PWNssassin. Posted Image

Oh totally understand. The Crusader, (IF they add the 3L in the base pack) is probably the other current IS mech that would get me to buy again. (OK, maybe Vulcan, but since it's unlikely to remotely resemble my version, and I am rather attached to that....it could be bittersweet to see)

also, finished version is even more dynamic, just not willing to post it yet, since I plan to submit it to CGL, when things get unhectic for a minute. Posted Image

better hardpoint layout than VND; ability to Sword and Board (on the 23) and being smaller and a whole lot faster, pretty sure it would play totally different.

So... Less Vindi, more Panther?
