The game is MUCH SLOWER, THE PING IS DOUBLE!!! WHY THE HELL DONT YOU USE YOUR TEST SERVERS??? Interesting, you cared about your players when you made the testserver at The Mining Collective map, but since then, YOU JUST RUIN EVERYTHING! Yeah dont care about your players and make your own "greeeeat" ideas!!!

Revert to old minimap, but keep the new info tech you were talking about. Diamonds and such. New map sucks. HATE it.

Give us the option to view the the old minimap layout, or better yet, a toggle on the keyboard instead of shoehorning us into this one particular view.

PGI, how can I disable the mini-map?
It no longer give any information, only blocking the part of the screen =[
Grasshopper bigger than Atlas? You serious?

New minimap will take time to get used to. But I don't like it or the icons.

Didn't need to be changed at all.

I like the new Frozen City map, though.

Well, increasing mechs size could be partial solution for the hit detection...
Bigger targets - server "should" register some more hits... Right? Right?

Oftopic: Today timber received my 200 missiles and like 200 laser damage from my teammate Atlas at the same time, mid-range dead-ahead uncovered. His paint was barely scratched after that... Timber are OP. Right?

That sounds like a pilot problem........how do you not know where your legs and torso are orientated? Didn't you control moving them to where they are? Did you FORGET? LOL I can't recall ever using the mini-map for that.

As always, I reserve judgment on the new mini-map until I use it, I'm sure it's not great....PGI does normally need at least 2 swings at something before getting a hit......but I doubt it is as catastrophically game ruining as the chicken littles are declaring. It's new, it's different.......you can't expect to be an expert on using it right out of the gate. They will eventually make the zoom selectable and re-add the rotating ability.

Meanwhile I'd rather they concentrate on important features and content for the game rather than spending months delaying real development to tweak and 'perfect' such a tiny feature. We had Phase 3 pushed back several months while they wasted time on that stupid solo que that fizzled just as everyone predicted.

You must be really dumb if you dont understand my problem, or you havent played since the patch. Everyone gets lost on the maps we knew like we know our thumb, plus I probably knew my mechs better than you will ever think.

Mini-Map is horrible!!!
First of all it is useless for orienting. Too much Map for this small size. If i want to see the hole map the option to press "B" was enough.
And second - u spend millions of C-Bills to get the seismic sensor and for now it is just useless!!! Even with an advanced seismic...

So please, bring back our old Mini-Map!!!

- I played few games in FW. If i don't know map well - i'll get lost on minimap. But.. i get lost anyway when flame of battle caught me. In game where you moving upper torso separately from legs - is vital to understand where you look and when you move. Adding some kind compass near map (moving direction arrow - red \ looking directions arrow - green) can help. Or adding same view field like triangle to arrow-icon mech on mini-map (less complex i think). Also make mini-map a little bigger or show 4x4 quadrant of 8x8 possible. Anyway - actions at that range won't be useful info, especially if that message of possible enemy position. For showing that - an overall directions dot is enough.

But i really love that command wheel and new battleground. Now i can clearly see quadrants. That's awesome! Also i really love icon identifications of mech type. But would be cooler to make them more clearly shaped.
like - filled square: Assault. Empty square: Heavy. Filed cirle: medium. Empty circle: light. That can be more informative.
