Downloaded by content files to temp directory
Started MWO
Set Patch Directory to above temp directory.
Clicked "Patch"
- MWO created two folders in above temp directory
- MWO Exited.

Restarted MWO - again checked temp directory.
MWO - still had patch button.
Clicked "Patched"
- MWO exited.

Tried above several times, not seeing any thing change.

Tried removing "Specify Patch Directory" but everytime I cleared it and clicked "OK", when I checked it again it had the temp directory.

That shouldn't be happening as I was just able to complete the Direct Download Patch process without any issues. When you get a chance can you send a ticket to technical@mwomercs.com so I can get some more information about this.

Thanks,

I'm not a fan of the quirks we have in the game either, but we DO have them right now, so I feel they should help give mechs personality and character. Atlas being the nigh undestroyable walking fortress is in the lore, so nerfing it's durability just never serves any purpose in MY opinion.

True, but the Dire Wolf is supposed to be the most durable and powerful Assault Mech in the Clan Invasion era hands down and it is hardly that in MWO and no one cries for the Dire Wolf.

I had the same issue, as I was using my MWO_updater folder which I defined for temporary folder.
Once I used a different folder, it worked. The patcher actually copies the zip file to the temp folder and patches the files there, so if you have the Cache and update folder at the same place, the patcher would break (because it deletes stuff in the folder, i think).
e.g. don't use temp = c:\games\MWO_patch\MWO_cache\ for the cache and c:\games\MWO_patch\ for temp, but
something like c:\games\MWO_cache\ for the cache and c:\games\MWO_patch\ for temp :)

I refuse to play with this mini map!

Please change Mini Map.

Or I will stop playing this game.

EDIT:
1. The Map must turn with the movement of the mech.
2. The Map need the direction arrow of the feet. And the triangel of the torso.
3. The Map needs to be more zoomed in.
4. The Map needs to be more like the old map.

I Waited to try the patch before i passed any judgement, but now that I have played I agree 100% with what people say about the radar in its current state. I can not believe anybody actually thought it was a good idea to go through with this change without radar rotation and zoom options. It is absolutely terrible.

This new minimap is useless sh*t. Too small to get any info from it and it should be rotated to movement direction.
Get the old back, or at least make it optional.

Will you give the Faction Play Leaderboards a sorting function like you did with Quickplay?

A bit earlier maybe? At least before the launcher makes pre-download irrelevant. My Phoenix Hawk 3S looks like the Mist Lynx that I sold before the patch btw ..

Hi Folkz,

the new cockpit minimap is ****.
Sorry don't know how to describe it, but unlike the old one the new one is useless for movement.
Map stays still and arrow moves around.
You can't see in which direction you must run if the map doesn't move.
The old one was much better, much more intuitive to use with a short look on it.

- I really hate to say that... but... but first 3 battles i just crying. No, I clearly understand why mini-map now looks like that. Strict anchor to grid, by numbers and letters. Cool command wheels for visual spotting (best thing - 'couse it shows target for short time without any narc, tag and so on). But... I just hardly can understand to what direction I go and what direction I currently look. Best decision in that would be adding to main arrow (mech) + short triangle (field of view) And make mini-map a little bigger (and even with scroll by moving, shoving only 1\3 part of map) What about target aside of shoved map? Just place it like red dot in contour to point overall direction. I think like that would be good.

Get rid of the new mini map it is BS, or give us the option to choose. Why the hell do something like that without any need?? Really bad move as this is a game breaker, the mini map is totally useless now.
