Hot-Fix Scheduled For 06-22-2016

Greetings MechWarriors,

We will be rolling out a hot-fix, scheduled for Wednesday June 22nd at 6:00 PM PDT [June 23rd at 1AM UTC], with the following changes:

• Fixed a crash that could occur when leaving a match.
• GAR-C Right Arm: Fixed an issue where AC/20 and LB20-X AC weaponry would not fire.
• Frozen City: C6 - Fixed an issue where 'Mechs could get stuck in the crevice.

Changes to the Mini Map
The Player Torso Orientation Cone and Leg Orientation arrow have been restored.
The Mini Map will now again rotate with your ‘Mech, as it did with the previous Mini Map.
Rather than displaying the Map in its entirety, the Mini Map will now instead display a 2000m^2 area around your ‘Mech.
To compensate for this larger size relative to the original June 21st Mini Map, we have scaled down the size of ‘Mech, Command, and Capture/Control Markers in the new Mini Map to help prevent excessive overlap when in close quarters.
In light of the above change to the Mini Map zoom we have restored the grid markers back onto the Mini Map itself, rather than the borders.
With the placement of the grid markers back onto the Mini Map, we have slightly increased the size of the Mini Map UI element itself, to make use of that available space.



You can find more details regarding these Mini Map changes, along with additional text covering the new Mini Map, in our recent posting here.

We will update this post as necessary if any further changes to the content or its scheduled time arise.

The maximum estimated downtime required for this hot-fix will be approximately 30 minutes.
When services are restored you will be required to apply a small patch.

Are you going to extend the event because of this hotfix? Maybe till the weekend?

Can you add "Hostile UAV Spotted" to the command wheel some time soon?

Great to see PGI made a quick response with this hotfix, the new mini map was actually a nightmare... waiting patiently for the old radar :) E.T.A 30 mins :)

This is actually a solid idea.

*sigh* ... Well, at least the Seismic Sensor Module is useful again. The whole thing about weight classes, however, should have been hidden in the Targeting Info Gathering Module. We should have been left with the Directional Doritos, instead of the Weight Class Indicators. I guess this will have to do for now, PGI, but you've got a lot to make up for. I'm still feeling dizzy from your earlier mistake. :(

Perhaps you could have the Common Sense to extend the event after making everyone angry and disorienting them? <_<

Can we please get the default 1600m zoom. With the 2000m map terrain and builds is very difficult to see while circling an assault mech shooting while maneuvering. The way it is now I don't am I going to clip that building or run into a teammate. The MechWarriors are a 360-degree view of their surrounds and all we need is a mini-map of their surrounds. Can we get a zoom feature to the default zoom 1600m or and the new 2000m. Personally, I would like a 1000m, 1600m, and 2000m.

Question is the new grid square measures?

Thanks for map rotation. The zoom could be a bit more zoomed out and now that we have vision_cone on the map and our mech always face where we are going we dont need the big fat ugly arrow on the mini map.

I don't want NHUA, but Russ really missed out on the players that did.

I hated MW4's NHUA mode, but those servers were fully populated, every night.

I like the rotation, I like the quadrants shown in each square. I like the orientation of your legs and body.
All fine BUT:

On the old Mini Maps certain Buildings were darker than other buildings, you could recognize ways and streets better, You could actually see where houses are ending, and where the corners are.

Now you have 3 different brown colors, which give a mixture of brown, which makes it hard to recognize anything.
Compare these two maps and you will know what I mean.
