My Poor neglected Jenners.

It feels really nice piloting the 1E and having medium laser heat be closer to what it actually should be, because it makes a huge difference.

I have yet to drive mine since the patch, but I'm rather looking forward to it.

To be honest, i wouldn't mind seeing the Locusts losing SOME (not all of course) of their quirks. You know? A slight slap on the nose for being a bit too badass

Overall, I'd say Cheetos are once again king of the light pack for now.

I just took my LCT 1V (P) out for a little testing and enjoyed it, not as much as I do my cheetah

The problem with the 1E is, that you need at least 2 other locusts to master and that's where it gets interesting. All Locusts are fun, even the missile versions, but not nearly as good as the 1E, imo.

They should lose most of their quirks (which is the case with a lot of mechs) because it's crazy how many they have (even compared to other heavily quirked mechs; it's kind of out of hand). They shouldn't have weapon quirks (because the weapons most Locusts use should be buffed) and they shouldn't have had leg armor quirks in the first place let alone +16 and let alone after they get significantly smaller.
They could probably keep some agility quirks (though not as powerful as they are now) and maybe keep some duration & cooldown quirks too (like 5%) because the current quirks that Locusts have now made them devastating in the right hands and now the mechs are even better after the rescale.

From our own testing, the Raven is still edging it out as the superior poke 'Mech, and anybody worth playing against can still hit it easily so the one-and-done disadvantage hasn't disappeared. Even the DPS on the LCT-3S isn't as qualitatively good as the DPS on the Oxide because it's delivered in smaller packages.
The only thing the Locust gained is a slight buff to its tanking ability, but the lack of hit-points caps that advantage pretty hard.
I would say the best builds are 6xML on the LCT-1E and 4xSRM2 on the 3S. Even the nerfed Oxide would trash it in a brawl, and Raven LPLs still out-poke.

As an opposite side(one that never pilots locust) - I actually like the size change quite a lot - it's a bit more challenging to destroy their legs, but also more rewarding.
And also - I finally can see em as a viable option!
Which is really a big thing and changes a lot.
Even more people now will consider locusts as option in CW, which means that they could bring an heavy instead of medium, or assault instead of heavy, or medium instead of light - it's not a small thing...
Just my thoughts though

LCT-1E botem T3
LCT-1V hight T4
LCT- 3M mid T4
LCT-3S,1M,3V all at low T5 ...
i love locusts i realy do, but if u want to grind Cbils and get high scores on avrage they are bad..
the rescale has helped them but there is simply no way they are T1 ore even close now.. so no need to nerf...
there are compleetly op however when it comes to fun and stress lvl.. after a good LCT mach i need to have a 5 min brake..
the exitmend of being a single hit away from dead from the moment the mach starts..

So long as it includes positives for the Jenners.... so tired of the negatives.
what negatives? I see many jenner pilots still doing very well, hopefully PGI stops catering the medicore player performance because thta is what always causes imbalance when they buff well working mechs upwards because a wide mass can't handle them. Because after such upgrade the non medicore players switch to these mechs and exceed in them to a degree that should never have happened.

hitscan and spread weapons won't one shot it. Only if the locust pilot really derps his movement (including twisting).
