In MWO life, the only two things you can always count on is complaining about events, and the sense of coddled entitlement from the same players who complain about things.

And we will be there again. This is the third double XP event since January.. In 2 months they'll be another one and folks will make the same complaint again. NOBODY at PGI is holding a gun to your head forcing you to redeem a million XP.

Look at it this way, they tried to cover all the bases with enticements. Sure most of us aren't going to blow $100 on MC for XP conversion, but for a few minutes/hours of coding (heck might even be a switch to flip) and they could pick up a few grand from the 20-30 people that will do it. Maybe more, who knows?

Meanwhile, Double XP event. Oh no, I've no mechs that need to be leveled.... maybe I should buy a mech pack!

Leaderboards: Dang, I missed out on all that good stuff before, but I could still get something (cough, I know, I'm trying to be in other peoples heads right now) if I get them now and get gud!

Steam packs: ...I got nothing..

Edit: grinding old Spider-5V killed my will to grind. Will pay to skip that, for a fair price.

I'm thinking like a Bring the Death of MWO Event. Its very obvious that there's suspicious play going on in the game. But just easier to say that its a minimum amount and then forget about it because that's much easier . We wouldn't want to chase off any of those fine paying customers. I am just sad because i have been playing this game for awhile and yes i have invested a decent amount of money in it but would never think about using something that's unfair to help my skills. I'm saddened greatly the way Faction Warfare is set up. There's barely any competition all the organized and large teams go to Jade Falcon and Spam the system until there aren't any competitors on the IS side. And scouting will help be the death of this game as soon as they get Long Tom the IS side quits playing. I have even resorted to watching Hallmark movies with the wife lol.

<*laughs*> ... Dude, I might actually want to convert, but only if PGI made it honestly reasonable. Triple XP Conversion is what I would be waiting for on that count.

However... "entitlement"? I don't feel any, personally speaking, unlike what you rudely assumed. I'm just simply giving my honest Pre-Event Review Opinions, attempting to push towards mental sanity. I do include mental pre-compensation for newbies that might stick around, if things aren't more uphill than a certain amount, when I do evaluate matters.

Frankly, if PGI does have an event where I detect no problems, then there won't be a complaint in my review. Heck, they had the 'KMDD per day' previously set right after my input from several events, but now they've gone and slipped again. And I'm at least reasonably sure I've given at least one perfect Pre-Review before. But something tells me you either weren't around then, or you have completely missed it. It sounds to me like you need to backtrack the Announcements board a bit.

Heck, DarthHias, you want to talk about "Entitlement"? This guy, 'ExoForce', fails the check...

...because unlike me, they actually WANT to push toward Quadruple XP Conversion. I already previously stated that this is something I will NOT push for, and I find it disturbing to my own senses. I'm sure PGI couldn't make better profits from Quadruple, unlike Triple, because I do look at sane limits.

PGI does nothing for player retention, event or not as long there will be no PvE and actual solo or coop missions against an AI, population will decrease, only the fans of BT and competitive players will remain, that will go even more down once the actual BT game comes out.

If there's a progress bar, I'm morally obligated to fill it. PGI knows this, and these events are entirely, 100% an evil plan to force me to buy lots of MC then convert all my spare XP to GXP. A cunning and evil plan!
