So how do people think about this? Should I just stop using assaults and be a egocentric rushing btard just trying to get to the front asap so I can stealkill some ones work? Should I just chill out and don't let it get to me.

As you can see, it is effective.

This works in about 1/3 of the matches... I can't even get the Assault lance to call out their location much of the time!
Oh well, its a PUG life..

Did plenty of times.
Nobody listens. They have their own target fixation.
Frankly got REAL tired of the solo que the last few days. (Perhaps its the event)
But i havent seen the amount of stupid that high. I'm really trying but my goodness. I rather log with my unit and never play the solo que again. It's terrible. Sometimes i just do it for fun, but even fun is not allowed when you get stomped in your face or get a NASCAR up.
Losing 20 matches in a row is not fun. It's frustating, dull and irritating when you see some the lack of teamwork in the solo que.

When this does happen, follow them for as long as you can. If the enemy has the exact same plan, turn around just before they get to you and try to hold until your team can reinforce.
If that's not possible, press override, fire everything and take one of them with you. You have more than enough firepower to at least open up one of their mech before going down.
TLDR : You got left behind, that doesn't mean you can't do your part.

You really think people are moving hard to kill steal? They're doing it to pressure the other team before they can form a firing line facing their position. They're doing it to catch people who are out of position and take out stray opponents who were screwing around instead of moving efficiently. They're doing it to get to a prime trading position. In short they're trying to win and the best way is to try to snag a few easy kills at the start. Timing is absolutely critical in this game and when I see people lollygagging in the back or my fast guys running backward at the start to "escort me" they're completely blowing the opening move. There are great opportunities in the early game to make big plays because a lot of people are complacent, disorganized or don't know the map as well. Wasting it because some assault doesn't want you to move until he says GO is irresponsible.
If this is a problem for you, then yes you should either play a faster mech, or play group queue with like-minded people.

But here and there, there is a ECM raven, going to "cover" assaults. I had such games. Two.

"Oh noes, I can't lead a push! I'm too slow- all you guys get out there and I will catch up and finish off the wounded while they focus on you!"
"Oh noes, I died doing 45 damage in my XL Stalker! You guys suck for not supporting me enough!"
No one ******* more than an assault pilot.

Heh someone got out of the wrong side of his bed. Sheees.
I'm not saying the whole team should stop what's it doing and rush back to protect me. Plus I would never use a XL engine in a stalker
Some long range support is nice. Plus yeah if I play with friends this is rarely a issue...unless light rush, but not much you can do about that.

I got on a FC map where the team right out the gate said "regroup on the fatties". They did, we won.

PPO Kuro not everyone is a jerk
I always support and or escort the assaults
Keep asking for help or support
And I will always say don’t let the assaults push alone

Why in your example is one force at half strength with no assaults, but the other force is at full strength with their assaults? It's the usual "My team is filled with clueless noobs, but the other team are tactical pros".

The only way to explain how the game ends 12-0, or 12-2 or w/e. Maybe both sides were clueless noobs, but the side that got wiped 12-2 were more clueless...

You might as well say the team with the most giant screens win. Or the team that can stand using heat vision the most wins. Lots of other explanations that don't insult the other players who are allegedly in the same skill bracket as yourself.
