With this being a F2P game, I have a very real worry. Will the online community when playing, become toxic? Now so far in the forums, I haven't seen really any toxic members at all, we all pretty much get alone (LEAVE URBANMECH GUY ALONE!), and can crack some jokes but don't really offend at all. But my worry is that once the game goes online we will get a influx of players who might turn things around like others game ( *glares at LoL community and thanks god I left that game* ). So do you think this will happen, yes, no, maybe but not really?


Edit: Crap thought I made the poll on this, meh oh well x.x

Edit 2: Also what do you think the moderators and such will do about reported players in game, chat log veiw and bannable or just warnings? Because unless you really start smiting the really bad offenders, things can run into a pit x.x

Oh no doubt about that, but if you have been on other f2p games, you will realize what I mean by a toxic community

The anonymity of the internet will always empower people to say and do things they would never do in real life. Espescially if someone is there in person to take them to task. Just ignore idiots and hope the ignore list is bottomless.

True, I guess what im saying is do you think it will get Ungodly bad like say, a League of Legends forum/gameplay, or just have your random idiots but overall a decent place like say...well this forum community right now o.o

No one is qualified to judge anyone. That is why we have rules. We can objectively state that either a rule was or was not broken. So if a rule is broken we can deal with that. Throwing away a perfectly good mechwarrior because of some subjective perception is not acceptable. So, lets just stick with the rules and objectify behavior instead of people. That being said, anyone running around screaming " we must rid ourselves of the bad people" should be the first one on their own lists. Got it? I realize that there may be some prophanity in that picture I just posted, so I may want to delete it, I'm not really sure to be honest if that is considered bad or not, But I imagine with time, Yes, this place will go to hell in a hand basket in no time, I have yet to actually be in a game that upon release did not start to see a larger influx of know it alls, Butt wipes, and as the pic suggests, Total Dickwads.

Me as well, some people are just hostile about things like "Grammar in Posts" , "Duplicate Topics" , "Differences of Opinion".... you know, stuff like that.

Hopefully they will move on or go back to WoW or whatever dark hole they crawled out of. I for one am for the most part happy with the community here and how they treat each other. Other then all the Ponies and Urbanmechs...... seriously, get a life guys!

I have full confidence that, if we as a community act in a polite and civillised manner no matter what outrageous behaviour we witness, can keep this game and this forum from deteriorating into a total mess for marginally longer than any other community.

"Friendly Fire Isnt" ..... words to live by. Better ways to deal with jerks anyways, and seeing as how even I have been interdicted by a forum mod they seem to be doing a pretty good job keeping the peace here. Hopefully it stays that way.
