they are bad designed maps, they do it because their "meta" loadout dont work well on them.
That means that round about half of the maps present in mwo atm (shoud be)
coud be a balance factor against the short range/high damage loadouts that are forcing
the devs to introduce a alpha hard cap. This will piss off nearly all players
while reintroduced random map selection will only annoying the players with certain
one sided loadouts (ml, sl exclusively). It´s ok if you have to take the risk for
disadvantage in range fighting for the high damage output in close range fighting.
Atm there are 4 maps played 80% of the time.
-Grim Plexus
-Hpg Manifold
-Canyon
-Mech Factory
Random map selection woud balance things out i am sure cause on certain maps you
in a bad position with these onesided "meta" loadouts (dont know a game where its meta
only works on specific maps), whats only fair i think.
Map vote is anyway a bad feature in a game where you have weapons
that have range mechanics as a main game feature.

They never ignore, they read, but they don't want to comment because... well, you get the point of why they don't want to post here.

"DEVS PLEASE READ!"
This is what the Devs see;
Just saying......

Different players play different loadouts and vote for different maps as result.
Also, players already whined over random map selection for several months straight, which caused PGI to implement a voting system in the first place. Show some respect to their work, please.

They actually do. I had a talk with them the other day, and they do read, and take it into consideration. They don't post usually because they're at work, doing something for the forums here and elsewise. I had help with Alex help rid of spambots forever by making it where you had to play one match to post on the forums.

It's more comforting for me to pretend they don't, given the hundreds of excellent ideas regarding maps, game modes, balance, and FW that they've seemingly ignored.
Buy a mechpack :/

With the way the forums talk to PGI, and from what garbage is spewed from time to time.
I don't blame them.

They're not children, they're grown men and women, running a company and responsible for the satisfaction of their customers. They need to suck it up, sort through the salt, and find the worthwhile posts. The rest of us do it every day and we don't own the title. Give me a break.

*Shrugs* I don't blame you for thinking this way, that's the right way to think.
It's when you mix in ad Hominem or being unconstructive about it is when it makes the rest of us look bad.
But, as usual, no Tower of Babel because we only represent a small part of the actual population.
Maybe get a third or half of the population involved on the forums frequently on the forums. That could help make them notice.
How many actually are on here in average?
The most I remember was 200-300 people on avergage with big news, and a low of 50-200 weekly.

I want PGI to read their forums, ignore the obvious salt, like any adult would, and implement the myriad of good ideas that can be found here.

I was making a general example, not towards you. sorry if you mistook it for you.
I think the lack of population interaction is the main problem. there's not enough of us.
a average of 100 people a day isn't enough. 500-800 would be more appropriate and actually have PGI interested in the influx of verbal feedback.
Until then PGI will keep thinking some things are still alright. Until you get interactions like the multiple dislike of the minimap threads in here nothing isn't going to happen.
You noticed how PGI moved quickly because people actually came on and complained? More than the usual average people here?
Alot did. That's what I think of it as of now. population needs to come to the forums more.
