I enjoy some of the direction they are taking trying to take the game. Like the resizes are at least semi-accurate now, or feel so with a lot of the mechs. IK being added into the game again is a nice step as well. And I'm interested in seeing the power draw mechanics. And an interesting skill tree, and of course the mech releases are cool.

But some things they have done are questionable at best. Springing a massive map change without understanding how players actually use the map for directions in facing. The lack of zoom features, and especially the fact they sprung it on us without testing feedback.

It feels at times that the game is still a massive beta test, and we are throwing tons of cash at the promises, and not the product.

I just want all the bads to stop playing so I can get decent games.

Came back after long break (D/T sale and love for Btech). Its better than beta, but still definitely needs some major polish.

-FP is a mess, needs more simple quick play style missions.
-MC prices aside from sales are still insane, personally believe they could make more money from cheaper prices
-Could always use more game mode variety (not really a true fault, its a given for most any FPS)

Aside from that I dont hate it. FP is really the biggest **** in the game right now however.

I can at least say one thing positive... I have gotten my money's worth over the last four years, considering all the time I've spent in the game.

(although my initial investment was a small fraction of what the whales have spent)

Hello everyone,

Just a random players (4-5 months on board) opinion... I have played all the Mechwarrior/Mechcommander PC Titles and I really enjoyed it. But basically my BT roots are from all the books not tabletop etc.
So I do like the actual ingame look from MWO because it is for me close to how it should be (related to MW4). What I also like is that gaming is absolut affordable, 10-20€ per month for a mech pack including premium time is not a waste of money from my point of view - I don't care... Mostly I am happy to do some quick drops alone under the week, raw participation in faction play - scouting only if I get a direct call to arms from the team. So... for me it is a little more simple, I would appriciate new maps, also the campaign style, missions idea sounds good for me.

At least, I do not see an alternative....

Regards.

I won't complain about a penny I have spent. I simply don't plan on spending another penny, unless something really interesting happens.

I'm bored with my 'Mechs. All the 'Mechs I want to pilot I already own and none of the 'Mechpacks offered since the Rifleman have interested me even remotely.

So, I don't begrudge PGI the 'Mechpacks, I begrudge them being so slow at releasing them that it takes forever to work through the 'Mech list to ones I do have an interest in.

New guns would also certainly inject some freshness. I have no hope for game modes.

Unfortunately, the bads are the majority.

That's the surprising thing I've found by sorting the leaderboards based on games played.

And a lot of them have 1s under their names, is the sadder part. (Not taking a shot at you, but at MWO's useless tier system)

Well.. it's kinda like an Oprah-gasm.

"You get to be Tier 1. You get to be Tier 1. Everyone gets to be Tier 1!"

Yup.

Even refusing to run Meta, if I wasn't splitting my limited play time between 2 accts, I'd be tier 1 by now. I barely play, and never play "serious" by competitive standards and an still halfway thru tier 2.

It's all a joke.

I blew through Tier 1's rank bar three times faster, by comparing passage of time, than I went through Tier 2 and I've been playing less. Ratio of solo to group is about the same, I wager. Have been spending more time in private lobbies.

Tier system...I have no idea how it really works.

I wish Russ would sell it to someone who either knew what he was doing or actually cared about the players.

Haha. As if any developer out there would care about anything but players money. Most can simply just hide it better then PGI.

In The Founder Days , im hoping of the good Mix of PvE/PvP,/Campaigns/Missions/FW ...a Game better as MW4 or The Cry Mod MWLL (has a unbalanced TT based Mech/Tank/Aerospacefighter system, very Bad Animations and fatastic Great Ambient and Atmospphere from the BT Universe ) , now MWO is only a HAWKEN with Mechs,, seeing other Wargames (War Thunder ) MWO has nothing Style,Ambient and Soul , not Damagesystem with Sim-aspect,Reapair/ream is going away, no KI for Missionbased CooOp Gameplay (battle of Hesperus Mechfactory-Charge a Fortress,Break a Outpost line with Light Mechs,Escort a Group with variants in difficult for new Player to learn the Gamemechanic before he fight in PvP. many other MMO/Wargames have CooOp Missions , the Arcade Star Conflict Space shooter has more Soul...Battles, Open World , FractionsWar with sectors ,PVE, PVP, Coop Missions...What has MWO ? the Lonesome Aerofighter in the Air is , and the Dropships the only Ambientelement of BT War.

MWO is like having an amazingly beautiful girlfriend that is a good cook and is great in bed, but she often gets staggering drunk and likes to mouth off to strangers when you're out in public. On top of that, once every month or two she will jump up, for no reason, and run face first into the nearest wall.

Limited Max groups to 4 people. I said don't do it.
Increased players per match from 8 v 8 to 12 v 12. Again, I said don't do it.
Focused on CW and features when new player experience is extremely bad. Again, I said don't do it.
PGI looks to the stars at E-sports. Again, I said don't do it.

Now that I feel my contribution to the development was and will be completely wasted I've stopped my support. i may not be a developer and I'll admit I don't know a lot about what goes into adding features or updating the game. I do know when the game isn't fun. I do know when the game is struggling to keep new people and why. I do know that the game needs a major upgrade via a new engine. I do know that I made a huge mistake and gave PGI too much of my money.

New Engine
PVE / Co-Op standalone campaign (offline capable)
8 v 8 needs to become standard again

These top three items won't likely happen, and that makes me a Bitter Vet.

I even attempted to ask for the one thing I knew they could delver on (a mech) and even that ended up in complete disappointment, and resulted in me getting banned and fighting due to the simple fact some people I guess just don't have the time to clarify their own statements.
