Limited Max groups to 4 people. I said don't do it.
Increased players per match from 8 v 8 to 12 v 12. Again, I said don't do it.
Focused on CW and features when new player experience is extremely bad. Again, I said don't do it.
PGI looks to the stars at E-sports. Again, I said don't do it.

Now that I feel my contribution to the development was and will be completely wasted I've stopped my support. i may not be a developer and I'll admit I don't know a lot about what goes into adding features or updating the game. I do know when the game isn't fun. I do know when the game is struggling to keep new people and why. I do know that the game needs a major upgrade via a new engine. I do know that I made a huge mistake and gave PGI too much of my money.

New Engine
PVE / Co-Op standalone campaign (offline capable)
8 v 8 needs to become standard again

These top three items won't likely happen, and that makes me a Bitter Vet.

I even attempted to ask for the one thing I knew they could delver on (a mech) and even that ended up in complete disappointment, and resulted in me getting banned and fighting due to the simple fact some people I guess just don't have the time to clarify their own statements.

If the new engine is for better graphics then to me it isn't very important in a lot of ways.

Look at this game in the second half of this video. Its no about graphics its about amazing game play. New engine eventually? For sure but a full featured game is a lot more important at this point.

Again check second half of this video proving graphics is secondary to game play.

I'm dehydrated from doing chores all day. Relatives just arrived to "spend the 4th out at the farm" (which my wife neglected to mention). I just shot-gunned a 32 oz tumbler of dark rum over ice (with some lime) and I am probably drunker than I feel. So with that, I will share my "thoughts about MWO as it is at this moment":

-I think is absurd to the point of comedy that PGI thought that the Long Tom (as it was instituted) was a good idea.

-That P3 was nothing more than a mechanism to drive veteran players away from the mode, and ensure that new players don't stand a chance.

-That the Phoenix Hawk manages to make the Vindicator look desirable.

-That the rescale didn't do much to help the Dragon.

-That I don't understand why some of you seem to think the Cyclops is going to be good, just because it has 25% extra range on detection with only a handful of relatively small maps, where after a few drops you know exactly where the enemy is positioned from the get go.

-That despite all my depression over what and how PGI has squandered the potential of this game, the value of this IP and the loyalty of what was once a vibrant and engaged community of players, I am nevertheless grateful that the game exists.

Very unbalanced IS vs Clan. Basic gameplay is good. Game types are not.
Random spawns are needed. And much better balance between IS and Clan weigh classes.

Some, including PGI, would call that a "Error: Success"!

Having been around since pretty much from the beginning, I've pretty much seen it all. I could reiterate every misstep, every flounder, every decision questioned by the majority of the community but I don't think I need to remind you guys. I also don't think that PGI really gives one flying fuq about what we think. We sit here on these forums, or on our own dedicated forums, on our TS servers, on twitch, or where ever else we are and we brainstorm ideas and solutions to the problems that we face in this game. We spend thousands upon thousands of hours collectively writing, discussing and suggesting things that would make this a better game.

BUT LOOK WHERE WE ARE. NOTHING WE HAVE COLLECTIVELY VOICED HAS TRULY BEEN LISTENED TO. PGI DOESN'T CARE.

Really. They don't give one flying fuqs about us. We are simply the mechanism by which they get paid. They have taken a franchise that is beloved by many and squandered an opportunity to be great. Instead of delivering on a plethora of promises, we have received a half baked imitation of what we were told we were going to receive. BUT MY HOW WE HAVE PAID. I know I haven't spent as much as some but I've put enough money into this game that if my wife actually knew the total amount, she would have my head. I stopped that a few months ago. I realized that if it wasn't for my love of this franchise, the awesome people I have met, and the feeling I was born 1000 years too soon, I would have stopped playing this game years ago.

Do the devs read their own forums? Why don't you listen to us? Why can't you deliver what you've promised for years now? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me the 100th time, shame on me a hundred times over.

It's a tragedy. This game has the ability to be everything we wanted it to be as PGI has created a solid core mechwarrior experience. It's their interpretation and their attempt to put their own flair on this franchise that has failed. I also believe that at the end of the day, the developers who made Bass Fishing really are just showing they haven't been able to learn the one trick to make them a truly viable software company. They can't finish what they start and make a truly engaging experience. Maybe there is too much weed smoked up there in BC, ironic I know when that comes from me. But damn, how hard is it to listen to your core customer base? Aren't they the ones who pay the bills? Wouldn't making them happy be a logical solution to continued revenue stream?

I was OK paying the prices I was paying because I believed I was going to get what I was promised. I would be happy to continue to pay those prices if it indeed meant I got what I was told. However after all these years, well, the proof is in what you do, not what you say you are going to do. Look at where we are at and decide for yourself.

MWO is a World with only Mechs, and no battletech ...a clear World missing all aspects of the Battletech Universe ...like a Star wars Arena Game with only X Wing against Tie Fighter in a empty Space
