I live in the center of the US. I ping low 40's to the east coast and low 40's to the west coast and I am on 100mb cable.

I currently ping better to the EU servers than I do to North America - it used to not be that way. I constantly get disconnected from the NA servers but not from the EU servers. This is terrible. Please ship off your servers to a different location that is more amendable the majority of your customers who play on the NA servers.

I try to only play on the EU servers but they are on a different schedule and I can't understand most of them due to language barriers.

Please, for the love of all that is gaming, do something about it.

My ping is 30-40 for NA, around 100 for EU, and I am on the east coast. Thought the servers were more centrally located?

My average ping is around 130 for NA and around 180 for European and I never have connection problems and very, very, very rairly ever run into lag issues.

Instead of moving the servers for a single player, maybe you could download some Rosetta Stone and get your German or French on!

Really, complaining about 40 ping? You should rent space at PGI's server racks and just live there if you want a better ping.

... No. He meant that normally, in every other game, those are his pings on NA servers, but it is far higher in MWO.

OP, I have the same issue. In the Southwest U.S. I get ~160 ping on both the NA and EU servers. This has been the same when connecting from different locations (different states) and different ISPs.

I suggest the OP contact his ISP to find out what funny business they are doing to connect to Montreal or whatever the town is the servers are physically located.

Oh, you poor, poor MechWarrior.

Some of us have to deal with 280+ ping to NA, and 130+ to our 'local' region on a good day. And let's not even start on those EU servers...

As others have said its your own ISP to blame. MWO servers are just fine and plenty of people ping quite well to them. Its the fact they use a provider YOUR ISP doesn't like and doesn't have an agreement with so as to punish them through you (like they care though) your ISP routes your traffic crazy ways on purpose thinking you'll blame the game or content provider and enough complaints will get them a better deal (more $$$).

Switch your ISP and stop your whining or just deal with it. You could always pay extra $$$ for a service that routes your traffic differently like WTFast to deal with your ISP problems but better that you take it up with your ISP and don't buy into the crap that they can't change it and aren't to blame.

I have gigabyte service, and I get higher pings in MWO than any other game, not stupid high, just higher.

That said, NA has never been higher than EU for me.

I live in the south east and have 0 problems with connections to MWO. I have around a 50 ping to the Servers in QB and about 130 to EU.

Have you bothered emailing support? Have you tried a Trace Route or anything? Worked with MWO to see if there was anything that could be done to help?

I ping 25 to the NA server and about 100 to EU and i dont even have the best Internet package available in my area.



These speeds net me a 25 ping almost constantly on the NA server.

I have seen people who get single-digit pings. I know not what blasphemous sorceries they employ for such speeds... but I'd like to borrow some!

(In the meantime, I'll settle for my ~35ms pings from East Coast USA.)
