Those 10 victories are driving me crazy.
Some global chat for making groups could be useful.

Scouting highlighted that still not everybody knows about R, they probably never learned the word "leg", some obviously think that being top damage with 500 because you spread it on the CT ST Arms is a good thing rather than the reason they lose. Saying "dont go out to the Crow, let them come" when we have cover is gibberish for most. There was some name i remembered and tried my best and knew they would to and we usually won. There were other names too, it's hard to try and help them and it feels like they are playing a solo game, and some dont have the possibility to change because they are new and dont have whats needed.
If you are going to create en environment that only decent players can hope to enjoy then why allow everybody in and mix them? What is you reasoning PGI? Or why have no matchmaker? Where is the logic PGI? I GET IT ITS FOR GROUP, so why allow anyone and his inbreed cousin to get in then? I require an excuse as to why you would make a niche game mode that accept people who cant hope to be ready or have the assets required to not drag everyone down. I blame you PGI, what were you thinking. If your reasoning is "we dont have enough players" THEN go back to the drawing board because something went wrong.
This pisses me off because it was my first time trying scouting and for the first time in MWO i felt like it mattered that we win. Its the first game mode in MWO that seems to have both objective and fighting that seems relevent and lo and behold it does not take half an hour to cap intel. Its very fluid and bot cap and fight are legit ways of playing and a mix ican work too. Certainly, something went right when thinking that game mode but as a whole CW is bare and frustrating and poorly thought out.

So I took a Stormcrow with my buddy and we put in 5x SRM6-A and a erML to get at least the Scouting done.
The games were pretty intense brawls most times.
Only downside was that there were a lot of one sided games where one team just killed the other very fast.
Took me quite some games to get all the victories because of that.
I just saw the extension. Maybe I can take a few more days to do some invasion also.
Sadly I already have all the reward mechs

I agree that it is based on scouting in the loosest sense. Perhaps a REAL scouting mission should exist, but as a PvE scenario... Or partition this out for a light lance scouting drop and then a medium lance mission that isn't... "scouting"
I think Dayleet's point has its merits as well. It is what it is... for now anyway and his points would help someone looking to succeed within the scope of the current mode.
Goes back to what I said before, they should have multiple drop scenarios for solo players (1 v 1? or PvE), pairs (light scouting?), lances (light or medium, not mixed), 8 man (invasion-ish mode) and 12 man (must be a full 12-man group to queue).

Normally this seems to be the case, though the meta shift from streak crows to knife SL Nova's might adjust some options.
That said, I did have one drop last night... me in a CN9(ac20, 3srm4s), lpl LCTs (2 of them, the LCT e I think) and I believe a hunchie. match starts, grim, me an the hunchback are grouped on one sound of the map. he promptly dc's...
Enemy spotted, getting close. I get stuck in and pull 2 kills, then die... the LCTs quickly get another and start working on the last mech standing for the clanners, finally our DC gets back in, just in time to deal 49 damage (poor guy), but the team of lpl lcts just cannot be stopped.
Don't underestimate the power of a good lct wolf pack!
In honesty though the clanners had 2 ice ferrets so... that may have helped us.
