OK ... enough children. Faction Warfare sucks.
We all know it and we all know why. Solo players and small units hate Faction Warfare because it is boring and not fun, hence why the MAJORITY of the player base which is small units and solo players play only group and solo cue. Not Faction Warfare, and what does this do for you the big units which sorta enjoy Faction Warfare?
It causes longer wait times because you have no cannon fodder to fill in the gaps, you still have unbalanced matches and the majority of the big units just walk over their opponents (fun for awhile but after a few months boring), and lastly Faction Warfare is just broken with bad mechanics (example of just one, is the long tom, once gained throws the balance completely in the other teams favor which has it and just causes the player base to walk away from playing against you).
Something that is fun; solo cue and group cue where you can get a better chance at balanced matches. Or scouting mode for those who like very quick matches of srm, streak, and small pulse mechs.
Another example of why Faction Warfare sucks: corridor warfare. Yeah, everyone line up and shoot the mechs as they come through a force fed tube to us.
Or what about drop zone farming ... yeah I got my next mech. Boo before I even hit the dirt the enemy has my mech dead because they are in the drop zone and shot me before I was even dropped.
Maybe you will get this bad mechanic, I pick a faction. Two days later I have no one to play against because our only attack lane they will not fight, and no one decided to attack us. Yeah I can go to clanner vs IS but even then I have long wait times because such and such is over there and farming the planet.
I could go on but I think you get the point Faction Warfare sucks. Even if you made it units only it would still suck.
