This thread is pointless lol

9 posts and he's setting down the rules of his thread and being elitist/condescending

p.s. I voted just to mess with your count

What are you talking about, peasant?! You and your ' deeply devoted ' friends who have been ' playing mechwarrior since youth ' and have been ' supporting this game since it's earliest hours ' can back right off, Bah! Only someone who had the love and the WILL to sign up and register to drop a motherload of money and financially support this game can TRULY settle this great Mouse vs. Joystick debate once and for all!
bleh..
and God knows this is going to turn into more trolling later ( I know, I already trolled it ) so someone lock this preemptively.
It's just another Joystick vs. Mouse thread, after all.

No real preference. I'll try both.

Threads like these help me understand why that developer named his mech "Forum User Killer".

:)
Yes, back in your boxes, non-founding-customer scum!
Your preferences will have no bearing whatsoever on future dev choices! :)

Dang, Viterbi. I was going to make a scathing remark about the OP, but now you're asking me to behave :P

I can't check if it's possible (hint hint oh beta gods) but I'm planning on using my Thrustmaster HOTAS throttle section (seperated from the stick) and mouse [Logitech G700]. I'm just way too twitchy with a joystick, having being brought up pre-analogue joysticks. If that doesn't work out then I'll use my N52te with the mouse.

But we'll see how it goes, I will give it a shot with the stick as well just in case!

I think a better question for this poll is "Did anyone NOT check both options?"

I love check box polls.

Joystick. someone put together a great joystick review, I had no idea my logitech was such an inferior device. I will be upgrading, but still plan on a stingle device (no throttle or pedals).

And to the OP, you do the community a disservice by attempting to divide and segregate.

Basically whichever is more proves once and for all which input method should be catered towards by the game designers.

This thread does not represent my elitist nature which can manipulate both a joystick and mouse at the same time, something most founders can do.

I played MW3 strictly with a mouse and keyboard and I considered myself a good gamer with that. I even owned a Joystick and failed to use it.

Mouse most probably.
But Im struggling to not to surrender to gaming cockpit idea that tempts me for a while already.

I Will test both out but I really hope the joystick works best!

Then I will have to explain to the wife why I need a cockpit in the living room......better work on the brownie points now!

prefred MW4 with Joystick, but the stick needs to have a yaw for the torso twisting or it dosnt work. ill end up using one hand on the stick the other on the keybord

I will be digging through the shed to find mine as this is a must (at least for me).
