2xAC5 (4 tons), 3xLL, STD 300, 13 DHS, Endo/Ferro
The above is probably my best performing Zeus, it has decent ballistic quirks and is durable like all Zeus models.
I picked up a 5S below recently and don't have enough games to know if it's better. It definitely has way more structure quirks. UAC jam chance quirk is always nice, and it's slightly more agile overall, which will help as a trial mech.

Thank you very much again for your contribution!
Hi Tina, this is my subsumption, it is based off of the Zeus Leonidas... Maybe less of a champion more of a hero build...
ZEU-LEO
More champion like....

Plays similarly to a Dragon: position, Dakka, re-position, Dakka.
Avoid brawling, but have the weapons to brawl if need to.
2x AC5 with 5t ammo (150)
3x Medium Laser
1x Large Pulse Laser
1x AMS with 1t ammo (2000)
XL 350 engine (70.9 kph/76.2 kph)
464/494 Armour
17 DHS (46% HE)

I LOVE THE ZEUS!
I LOVE THE ZEUS!
I LOVE THE ZEUS!
I cannot post 1 variant, all are my favorite and with all i have done great games!
GIVE PLAYERS CHOOSING A CHAMPION MECH ALL UPGRADES AS WELL! ALSO PRICE IN SHOP FOR SUCH UPGRADED MECH MUST BE ACCORDINGLY!
Many players do not know how to upgrade, provide them with a good loadout. Clan mechs come stock with upgrades, but Tje Inner Sphere has mechanics, mechanical engineers and technicians. We know which IS technology suits best.
ALL CHAMPION MECHS WITH DOUBLE HEAT SINKS!!!
ZEU-9S
"The super sniper ERLL!", - 6ERLL - very high mount for 2 of those lasers. all weapon groups are in pair of 3xtorso ERLL, 3xhand ERLL. can be hot, but then you have weapon groups 1, 3, 6 the same and can make chain fire with 1 of them.
Ferro Fibrous Armor, Double heat sink
reduced armor on empty hand for more double heat sinks.
ZEU-6T
"Come close, then there is no escape!" = 3xSRM6 +4xMDPL
Ferro Fibrous Armor, Double heat sink, endo steel, BIG ENGINE
those SRM 6 are devastating, - pump, twist, pump
ZEU-6S
"The little AC5 singer.. 2xAC5 + 4MDPL
the ac5 are not for killing, they are for provoking the enemy and supporting sniping allies, dont snipe alone in this one. the 4medium pulses in combination with ac5 are devastating in a prolonged brawl, ZEUS has armor to survive some time. Do not let them hide! puruse those overheating punks and pump those bullets as they try to hide
ZEU-5S
or my fourth variant "UAC5 JAM CHANCE -30%!!!" - This one is top on my list, can be used to poke, but always take cover until in range of 3xSRM6!
3xSRM6+2xERLL+UAC5
1ERLL in center torso for safety reasons, always pump uac5 when enemy in sight take cover when jammed
Ferro Fibrous Armor, Double heat sink, endo steel, BIG ENGINE
ZEU-5S
[smurfy]http://mwo.smurfy-ne...561aee92d9b64d1[/smurfy]
ZEU-5S
UAC5 2ERLL 3SRM6
firepower 61,70
but if UAC5 dont jam...
Routine:
1. Snipe them with double ERLL
2. pump the uac untill it jams + 2ERLL, if overheating keep UAC5, when jammed - hide
3. when taking ~25% damage take cover amongst the team and wait for the enemies charge, or ambush = pump SRM6+UAC5 untill overheating then only uac5 untill jam
4. when ambushed by lights fire the ERLL if they are too fast to predict the SRM impact, always pump the uac5

Give the Recruit (Noob) a big gun and let him charge close in, shoot point blank, show off skills by bursting the medium pulses at someone not too far away and hiding to wait for him looking for you
"Come close, then there is no escape!" = 3xSRM6 +4xMDPL
Ferro Fibrous Armor, Double heat sink, endo steel, BIG ENGINE
those SRM 6 are devastating, - pump, twist, pump
for all my proposals: all weapon groups to be used! so that ppl can choose a group for chain or burst fire
ZEU-6T

having many different lasers means paying attention, AND KNOWING! the heat output and range of each of them
who chooses (C)?
most of the time players that just dont have mechs, no skill upgrades, just wanting to fight and blow things up! you cant give them sometihng that has at the same time PPC, ERPPC, ERLL, Med Laser - THIS IS TOTALLY NUTS!
LRM in the arm is great! shoot untill empty from cover - then charge in with some deadly short range blast!
more guns, try not to leave empty hardpoints, but its not a must.
combining lasers for deadly vomit is good LPL is best dmg per second as far as i know, so thats the chain fire weapon to shoot whe overheated. I do Override shutdown and chain fire LPL to death when i am ambushed. Cnerol ZEUS 9S the Walking Death 51dmg one point alpha, whole right torso for shielding, kill many enemies or take them with you ZEU-9S
i am not liking anything other than mine or the same like
XL ENGINE IN AN ASSAULT? NOT ME!!!
Metus Regem: Nice LRM build ZEU-LEO
i like Lucious Dan builds
Having ammo weapons means you have to shoot them any time possible. not to die with unused ammo
groves226 2xLRM15 weight less you should fix that Spitfire - ZEU-6T

Thanks for the complement for the ZEU-LEO, but it is pulled right from canon for the Leonidas
- Zeus Leonidas
The personal 'Mech of Hauptmann-General Leonidas Brannock, commander of the 4th Skye Guards during their assault on Glengarry, the Zeus Leonidas was based on the ZEU-9S. It carried an Artemis IV enhanced LRM-20 and a Gauss Rifle (each with two tons of ammunition) in place of the PPC and LRM-15. The rest of the weapons remained the same. It also carried an extra heat sink, bringing the total to twelve. To make room for this equipment the Leonidas used an XL Engine. BV (2.0) = 1,878
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Zeus
I just had to find a Zeus that had a Ballistic LA for the Gauss...
