Hey MechWarriors!
Thank you for your past contribution in making the latest released Champions!
It's that time again where we'd like to release another 8 Champions and this thread is for the Highlander IIC Champion!

Please submit your build for the Highlander IIC Champion!

Post your build using Smurfy Mechlab, with whichever variant you'd like.
Remember to click the Like button at the bottom of other posted builds which you would vote for to become Champion!

The post with the most Likes will be implemented to MWO.

Thank you very much again for your contribution!

HGN-IIC-C

2xUAC10 5 tons of ammo, 2xcLPL, 1xERML, XL 325, 20 DHS, 1 JJ, TC1. Good alpha, nice burst and sustained DPS. The LPLs give you a bit of a range option, but it'll mostly be focused on DPS'ing down mechs at 400m about.

HGN-IIC
As expected of me, I just did a normal Highlander IIC with an XL engine, Endo steel, and kept the stock weapons.
Gave it active probe too to help with the missiles.
I personally love riding this thing to battle and I hope others will too.

Yeah, the HBK-IIC-C should be the Champion because it's the most potent variant and this build is one of the easiest to play (aside from the Beta variant LRM boat)!

HBK-IIC-C(C). You will like those triple Cs! Do eeeet!

A blending of a kodiak and a highlander... I call it High Spirits. It runs a bit warm but pretty typical for a clan assault mech. Its not quite as fast as my Spirit Bear but its quicker than my KDK-3, and the jump jets let it turn faster while leaping. Dual Ultra-10s w/4 tons of ammo, Dual Artemis SRM6 w/2.5 tons of ammo and 3 ERML give a nice brawling mix. I used ultra-10s since they can be fired in pairs without ghost heat (until you double-tap them of course) and its what I use on almost every one of my kodiaks. Its armored pretty heavily, and the Targeting computer improves the AC projectile speed and the laser beam range, and boosts crit chances for both. It carries an active probe to defeat the ECM of any mechs so equipped it might be up close to, that would otherwise interfere with the Artemis guidance boost.

HGN IIC tuned for general purpose use. There's no situation where this build will be without something to contribute, and contribute HARD.

2 ERPPC high on the torso for ranged fire, a UAC-10 for added punch, and 3 SRM-6 for the brawl. Max size engine, 3 Jump Jets, 21 DHS, ample ammo supply.

Tartan paint job optional.

Ultra Magnus II (with Ox red/ Ghost Bear blue/ Titanium white paint on the crusader camo layout, it ends up looking like a particular transformer). Ultra Magnus I built around the HGN-733 is slower (300XL), has quad SRM4-Artemis, twin MPL and an AC10 but same heat efficiency and jump distance.

An assault is not meant to stand back, its meant to share armor and fight. Thus, the Jack-of-all-trades assault for beginner, that worked best for me:

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...730a19bf87baab4

PGI, please make 3 weapon groups, two for the LPL and one for the SRMs. Other than that, its fairly cool with only the LPL and once it gets a little brawly, it can fire its SRMs for effect, so its not caught with pants down and overheating against brawler. The good thing on this mech is: It has range, a good punch on that range, the heat is manageable (again, LPL only here) and when the enemy gets closer, you can fire your SRMs and only 2 LPL instead of all 4 once it gets hot.

The only Highlander IIC that yielded consistent and solid results compared to those other... things.
