I can see it now.

"I've got 30 supply crates in my inventory that I have to buy keys for because of my crippling gambling addiction. I'm going to blame someone else."

Well, see it that way: perhaps we can get some keys via events

Holy crap. I guess i was lucky to stop playing RoboCraft when i did so i didn't have to suffer such disappointment.
Let's hope MWO stays well away from such stunts.

I'm gonna double this! Left that game after they introduced those re**ded selfaiming healing guns. And now I don't feel sorry.

It's a serious thing. It may look harmless at first day, only suggesting some cosmetic things to buy. But this is how PGI is testing the market. If this thing works for them, we'll have "golden" weapons, "epic" modules and other p2w crap couple of patches later.

Rather listen to Miley Cyrus and I despise that kind.

The only changes I'm not looking forward to are those pertaining to the Locust, if any. They will damn near invariably be awful in every conceivable way.

Supply crates might be o.k in Neverwinter online or some Korean pantie shot MMO, but here they are a complete joke.

Actually... loot crates are a thing in a lot of big games now.

CS:GO
Overwatch
League of Legends
TF2
SWTOR (sorta)

It's quite the bandwagon at this point, honestly. Not that I'm trying to defend it... I don't see it going well in this game at all. But maybe we'll all be surprised.

That may or may not be true, but either version will always be better than Skirmish.

Almost anything is better than Skirmish. It's just up to the competency of those designing it. Posted Image

Do people actually spend money on loot crates?

Real time Inverse Kinematic's i'm looking forward to same with the 2 second mechlab save.

Reduced LT damage, that receiving or dishing out.

I heard they might be increasing the size of the locust, but surely not, as the volume is perfect clearly, as that was said when people asked for the panther and wolfhound to be reduced.

Locust nerf is bullshіt - they're finally in a place where they're *nearly* competitively viable, but people are going to whine because they can't aim and the Locusts are going to get nerfed. Again. For like the third time.

Locusts are fine. Problem is that the 35-tonners are now so overscaled that the Locust appears as a more attractive option than it would have.

That assumes the crates don't expire. The way I imagined it, we'd have to decide immediately upon receiving them whether to open or sell.

The only thing I expect from the new Assault is eerily similar to existing Invasion mode (gens+main gen) and no real new ideas.

Heck, I expect a mass amount of gen-rush whining to reoccur.

Nowhere, but given the tears on the forums it is expected by many of us.

I imagine they do. Depends on what's in them, and the chance of winning something good. I know personally I wouldn't spend money to win MC air strikes or the like. Maybe some would. There are loot crate only skins in LoL that cost, on average, $350 worth of crates/keys to open.

Also, as Cathy already said, if 3 turrets caused assault to stagnate what are the plans to keep it from happening with new assault? Just how good are those dropships going to be? How hard will it be to disable the base defences?

I think the biggest gripe with the supply crates is the random nature... In Robocraft you get a crate for just about every match and are going to get something even if you do not pay to unlock the rest of the crate. For the MWO crates 1 random person on the winning team will be awarded the crate and will see this amazing amount of items inside that they could probably get, and then they get a random number of randomly selected items from said crate... So really to get something good you basically have to win at 4 RNGs, (MM, 1 of 12, x of x, and then x of x)... I can almost bet that the C-Bill value of said crate will be somewhere around an IS Single-Heatsink or maybe a Small Laser...
