Choo choo Ice ferret has been beaten down. Viper will now take its place as the better fast clan medium.

Also, it's got laser range quirks on the hero!!!

I know...look at how smoothly it moves, accelerates and decelerates:

The agility kind of makes sense. It's kind of like a Clan Cicada...kind of...

Hmm... I can foresee people min/maxing the omnipods but that's not unexpected.

Only as the fastest clan medium.

lol now they will definitely need to perk it up a bit to make it just a tad bit better.

If those A heatgen quirks are on the STs and those Medusa heatgen and range quirks are on the arms, we might be looking at a 10% range and 10% heatgen ERMlas Monster.

This is applauded but the Locust needs nerfed?

Gotta sell new Mechs, I guess...

Yeah, the MG RoF quirk is great!

The Phoenix Hawk is so OP with it's MG RoF that having more minor quirks like arm structure was just not necessary.

Hero gets the best quirks despite having the most energy hardpoints? Seems a little odd.

Yeah. When i eventually buy Viper i'll probably skip the C variant and this comes from a guy who loves MG's for their kill potential in later part of the matches.
But there is one more thing that is weird and quite possibly even worse than the C.
Look at the A variant. It has lesser turn, torso turn rate and accel/decel than the Medusa Hero variant.
The Medusa also has +10% energy range.

I won't say it's pay to win but it's close.

It's ******** like this that makes me glad MRBC has a c-bill availability requirement for a chassis to be legal.

Those quirks combine with Clan Tech to create a Mech that is BJ-1X circa Quirk Pass 2 levels of powerful. Possibly more due to speed and JJs. I thought that wasn't allowed...

Bite your tongue. My Vipers will have ALL the twist. Mostly because when you have nine tons of gun pretty much max, you need to be able to put them on point.

I'm honestly of two minds about the Viper quirks, like I said in the announcement thread. On the one hand, I love the thought of how incredibly agile these suckers are going to be, but on the other I've not been a fan of massive intense 50+% quirks for...basically ever. I think I'd honestly give up the crazyballs agility quirks if it somehow meant better default, quirkless balancing efforts somewhere, but we're not going to get that so...yeah.

As for Locust nerfs...kinda whatever, I suppose. The Locust never really deserves to be good; its canonical role is to be a cheapo junkpile you can throw away without a care in the world, after all :P

That is some powerful quirkening, but I am confused about the seemingly arbitrary, "This one gets slightly less, this one gets slightly more."

I mean, did they playtest it a little and say, "ah, this one feels like it only needs 35% while this one needs 60%. These are not arbitrary numbers."?
